  1. I got a 72"x2" belt grinder for knifemaking, but I'm finding it hard to get my bevel lines straight. I've resorted to hand filing now on a homemade jig, which give me excellent grind lines, but as you say, sweaty work. The forge scale is hard to get off the bevels too. Massive learning curve knifemaking
  2. Don't have to stabilise the wood if its teak. Pretty dense that stuff, Nice knife.
  3. Morning guys I have been knifemaking now for about six months and after the wounds had healed (no on told me it was safer to wear gloves) I decided I would like to join the UK Blades forum so I didn't kill myself. I'm having a problem getting through their verification system or e mailing them. Is anyone, or does know a member on there that is, or could contact an administrator to sort me out. Thanks for your help Skully

  8. Hi guys For sale is an Archer D Tube add on which I have spare. It comes with a Firefly illuminator Its been used five times only. In total its probably actually only been turned on for 5 whole minutes. Its spotless and comes with the carry case and all leads, male and female bayonet connectors and one scope shim. Additionally I have a Pulsar Recon 750 spotter which is equally pristine in its carrying case with accessories Prices:- Archer only £1050 Firefly £100 Recon 750 spotter £175 P+P extra OVNOs considered Due to work commitments I can only check my posts once
  9. Until recently, my 22 Anschutz had a 8x56 Nikko Sterling on the top, which was accurate, but failed at night when I lost the crosshairs when the background was dark. So I bought a Nikko Stirling Diamond variable with an illuminated reticule. I zeroed it at 12x which worked fine, but when I backed it off to 8x, it wasn't a case of it moving the point of impact slightly, the shot completely missed the rabbit! I appreciate that variables are known for moving at different mags, but this much cant be right I've been on the lookout for a fixed power scope 8,9 or 10x with an illuminated reticu
  10. Ive speed read the posts and may have missed it..but does anyone know what she was shot with..shotgun..handgun..air pistol?? Cant find any reference to it so far.
  11. Bushwear used to do a half fox plastic one
  12. I had four teeth taken out of my springer due to an infection, and it cost £300. Its done on how much time the vet spends on the job. They charge by the minute, and its got to b a general anaesthetic which bumps the cost up... Big teeth..canines..take longer cos they're more deeply rooted.
  13. Look at reptile dealers. I know over here they sell the to snake owners at £5 each
