  2. Lol - thats is why i had to go 2.5 hours drive away to different permission. There are no bunnies left where I am!
  3. Went down to Dorset over weekend to some permission and the dogs excelled themselves! Was not too happy about gutting and skinning them all on Sunday morning, but all 32 are in the freezer! It was a f*cking cold morning! There is nothing in this world like seeing lurchers working!
  4. Thats great to see, the next generation coming through! Kids learn so much from working dogs, my daughter loves it. Great pics as well
  5. I had one, a few years back. Came to me as was going to be PTS as too old, was a guard dog along with a GSD. Apparently he was a fantastic worker would go all day and night. I will try and find a picture!

    christmas

I am really stuck for ideas of what to get my daughter for christmas, its also her birthday on the 1st Jan as well!! She is wanting a terrier, but I dont think I can have anymore dogs at the moment. So any ideas..........?
  7. Did wonder where you had got 2! Is Blaine being as naughty as Barley?
  8. Both mine are around 22" / 23" tts. Recall when working is good, when exercising they are a nightmare!! They just want to work, find walking dull so try and get into the park to find something to chase! Cats have been no problem with mine, but had the cats before the dogs so now they all sleep in together no problem at all.
  9. Have noticed the same down here. Each warren we used to get 10 - 15 out but now 2 if lucky!! The ones that are around are also really lamp shy as well.
  10. This is my first cross he is 18 months This is my other one he is 1/2 grey 1/4 beddy 1/4 whip he is 2 and half
  11. I have got 2 of them and I think they are great they suit me down to ground!!
  12. It was very good fun! Do you mean the one that says Blue? You bred him!!! lol or the smooth coat one, is a 3 yr old bitch, we have no idea of her breeding as was a rescue - think she is mainly grey with a load of other stuff in the mix, a touch of collie as well. She is a good girl, owned by my neighbour.
  13. He is quite smart isnt he? He is greyxcolliexbeddyxwhip cannot remember the exact ratios!
  14. I have a pen out in my back garden to keep the dog. I do have the time to walk it and exercize it during the week. but id like to know would a whippet be able to take a fox if i came across one? Its mostly just for rabbits i would want the dog though I would say a beddy x whippet or grey - really good first lurchers. I dont mean to sound rude, but you cannot really keep a dog in a pen in the back garden!! Especially a whippet as they really feel the cold. You would need a kennel with a heat lamp and even a coat on in the winter.
  15. There was a poll on here a few days ago about the best lamps, worth looking back for it.
