    Ramblers

Having a rant! I live in a small village that gets completly over run with ramblers at the weekend. They park across my driveway, and on the verges. I have even found some of them in my garden taking photos! They seem to take over the village! The real problem is "The Dogs" I am continually finding that people are walking bitches off the lead when in season. This drives my boys mad! I was out walking mine this morning IN MY FIELDS and one of my boys started humping a bitch off the lead. I found the owner and asked if she was in season and he said YES!! I calmly told him what had happened an

Thanks Jembo, I thought I was right. I assumed we were discussing Bull fighting as its a Spanish tradition more so than Portuguese. Feck knows what we are discussing now, the clip i put up was of a Lusitano horse, therefore Portuguese. Correct me if I am wrong, but Spanish bull fighting does not contain horses?????

This is Spanish bull fighting: Spanish-style bullfighting is called corrida de toros (literally running of bulls) or fiesta brava (the ferocious festival). In traditional corrida, three toreros, or matadores, each fight two bulls, each of which is at least four years old and weighs 460–600 kg. Each matador has six assistants — two picadores ("lancers") mounted on horseback, three banderilleros ("flagmen"), and a mozo de espada ("sword page"). Collectively they comprise a cuadrilla ("entourage"). The modern corrida is highly ritualized, with three distinct stages or tercios, the sta

Just so everyone is clear!!! Portugues Bull Fighting: Cavaleiro and bullMain article: Portuguese-style bullfighting Most Portuguese bullfights are held in two phases: the spectacle of the cavaleiro, and the pega. In the cavaleiro, a horseman on a Portuguese Lusitano horse (specially trained for the fights) fights the bull from horseback. The purpose of this fight is to stab three or four bandeirilhas (small javelins) in the back of the bull. The pega.In the second stage, called the pega ("holding"), the forcados, a group of eight men, challenge the bull directly without any pro

When I originally put the video clip up, everyone had a choice to watch it or not. I did not intend this post to get quite so indepth to the hunting debate! We are all on this great forum for one reason - we support hunting and do hunt. This may be the only thing everyone has in common with each other. Everyone is entilted to voice their own opinion and everyone is different. If I was Spanish, then I would have been brought up with bull fighting as part of my countries history. Just like living in the UK I was brought up with hunting, shooting, fishing etc..... being part of my history, n

If you were black, gay or disabled that would be discrimination and they would be prosecuted. It's a funny old world - NOT. They state that they are an Ethical Bank!! After the questions i had to answer i very much doubt they are. I will be changing to another bank shortly, but had to get my new business off the ground quickly after being laid off!!

In nearly every culture there is something that we dont agree with. About 18 years ago (when I was a child) I used to follow the Wild Boar hunts in Corsica, the boars were chased with dogs and humans, they had spears thrown at them and would still run for miles whilst wounded and some not caught would be left to die for hours and even days of their injuries. I found this cruel, however over in Corsica it was their sport and way of life, so I learnt to accept it. What i find cruel in this country, that the antis dont seem to be bothered with is that we still send livestock abroad for slaugh

I was asked by the Cooperative bank when I was opening an account, "do you participate in Blood Sports?" I said no, just to conform to the "PC" pen pushers in the cities. After the Q/A I asked, what if I said yes, and he said my account would be declined!!

You are right it is not everyones cup of tea, however it is the Iberian culture. I am more interested in the horses and the movement rather than the killing of the bull.
