  3. Here's one for the ferretless ferreter, take one crab (medium size ish) melt some candle wax on it's shell then fix the short stub of candle to it's shell send crab down rabbit hole, wait quietly, patiently then remove catch from nets, and whistle old hardback up to the surface, this was a technique used in war times, and under no circumstances should this be scoffed at

Must be a nice sight to see all the coursing dogs and the race horses on that big old beach,I have an old greyhound book says something in it about the best horses and greyhounds come from Ireland,my mother and father are having a week in donegal next month wish I was coming aswell
  12. Brindle collars are faster, FACT!! I knew it ! My dog has a tartan collar - no wonder he doesn't catch anything. Yeah but he's very agile, so still ok for the mice! True - he smashes mice. Sometimes 2 or 3 a night But will he do that night after night without jacking? Impossible to tell, they are really cracking down on mouse coursing these days and the £5000 and six months in prison for every mouse found in your freezer, too risky to be an every night game, safer just to stick with the rabbiting
