  1. You are right always ask the woman Poor old Marshman Yes I did breed the dog but had nothing to do with any breeding as such, my EBT got to my old mums pet russell and Fred the b*****d was the result When the bitch whelped I was laid up with pnumonia, my old mum came and dragged me out of bed to help out, the pup was stuck and I literally pulled it out of her She recovered well, just the one pup who grew and grew This was around the time i discovered earth dogs as opposed to ratters and had thought I had a cracker, what I actually had was a fecking liability of a dog who would
  2. This fella was an accident, single pup nearly killed the JRT bitch he was out of
  3. It got to a small EBT bitch I had and they got at it in a major way, he ended up with a broken leg and and the bitch with 30+ stitches around her neck and throat He healed well though, he waited until I was out at work and the little bitch was in range and away he went again, this time it was worse and he was PTS, the bitch recovered after a good while but was never a happy dog after that When I look back at those times I am most unimpressed with the way I kept my dogs but a few years, a lot of listening and few quid later the current lot are all doing well
  4. The Sofa was pure 's, thank F#ck we didn't have the wall paper to match  And he did throw to the bully side of things, he was a total pest but I couldn't part with him
  5. Finally got the pic of a Bull russell I had back in the 's it was a first cross and really good ratting dog, got too big to go to ground and got really naughty with other dogs as he got older which proved to be his undoing, he was known as Fred the b*****d
  6. I'd like that many in three seasons let alone two months :cray:
  7. Get some Lavender oil from the chemist, mix it with some liquied soap and rub it into the collar, let it dry and do it again, after a few goes it will smell like old ladies
  8. Seems like a complete load of bollocks really, The FA are putting themselves above the law now, not bad for an organisation that only really exists to pay big salaries to the people in it !!! I hate football but I hate grown men having handbags at dawn even more FFS I've been called a few things over the years and expect to be called a few more but I can give as good as I get, Ferdinand is black and he may even be a C#nt so the FA are giving fines out after a court of law found Terry not guilty just for stating the obvious It's a mad mad world
  9. The point is that I don't have to take just any dog as I have the opportunity to travel, but if I was "back in the day" then it would be the best terrier I could find for working ability, the colour wouldn't matter If you look at history the working types of terrier never really started until the Edwardian times when vanity crept in and people wanted a type, before then there were two types dogs and bitches ! To answer the direct questions the Sid dog would shag a gatepost and if anyone wanted to use him the only stipulation would be that it must be a proven bitch As for the little SE bitch
  10. More lies from greedy market makers, I was in tesco this morning and there's enough meat of all sorts to feed an army or two :tongue2:
  11. Despite its name, the Black Russian Terrier is not a true terrier: it is believed that about twenty breeds were used in its development, including the Airedale, the Giant Schnauzer, the Rottweiler, the Newfoundland, the Caucasian Ovtcharka and the now extinct Moscow Water Dog. Straight from that well known font of all accurate knowledge that is Wikipedia
  12. I was once told that you can kennel two and get away with it but kennel three and you'll bury one, Unfortunately this was proven many years ago when I left two bitches and a dog terrier in the yard while I went out for an hour, I have always kennelled pups with an older dog but if its two dogs then I have had to separate them before the pup gets too saucy, I still kennel a dog and a bitch together sometimes if I need to but they are both very laid back and no trouble, two other dogs I have are not fighters and are well socialised / behaved but both like their own space and will play up if left
  13. Its a case of time and choice, if you have the luxury of time and you have access to a dog of the same type and ability then that would be good, if you only have a dog of a different type but the ability you need then you use what you can get With the world being a small place now days people do tend to stick to the same type of terrier, blacks, russells etc, when people weren't as mobile as we are now it was the closest dog that was the right size, working ability was a far greater attribute than size or colour, but with the car or even the train being such an easy option for travel then peo
  14. I read the blurb that comes with vaccines I use (Vanguard plus 7) and it says that in some cases a further dose will be required four weeks after the first dose, doesn't say why or when though !! Just to add that these vaccines cost between £6 and £10 for the vet to buy and they charge them out at some pretty ridiculous prices, I have heard of a vet local to me charging £90 for two vacs, one parvo and one multi, and they're crap ones that don't have a lepto vac in them, some vets are good, most vets are just very very greedy
  15. I do pups at 8 weeks for parvo then at 12 weeks with a combination vaccine (7 in 1) then the same vaccine for a booster at 12, 24 and 36 months then nothing I will give a lepto only booster of there is any ratting planned but haven't had any for ages :-( Once the dogs immunity is achieved after year three there's no need for boosters at all
  16. If it's just a basic and useable field knife talk to young gun (Alex ) he made me one and its just the job Got a nice knife from Midnight but don't want to bugger it up its just too nice
  17. Very sad, wherever he is I hope he brings as many smiles to as many faces as he has here
  18. I like this man
  19. That's just what I needed to put a smile on my miserable mug
  20. Get a terrier, much more fun on rats
  21. It's a good post on a lot of different levels, I wonder just how many of the Anti hunting shit houses that haunt this site have had the where with all to raise any sort of wild animal to being mature enough to release back into the wild, well done Mouse, very well done indeed
  22. No fee so sent as a gift then ? if yes then no claim, if sent as a payment raise a claim for non reciept and get your money back Would be a much better option to get in the car, go and knock on the door and take your money back along with the money for the petrol
  23. 3rd in the medal table, we really must be rubbish :boogy:
