  3. Yes you will find a massive difference in each brand, down to dirrening components used, such as powder, brass, bullet head, and rim thickness on the base of the brass, this will all have an effect on velocity, accuracy, and POI, If changing brands always recheck zero, and also impact at differing ranges... if your really fussy, you can get a rim thickness gauge, and sort out your ammo according to rim thickness, this will make a difference to rimfire cases... Snap.

  14. Well while at work yestersday i was inundated with stories off foxes causing caos in the area where i work.... So i decided to keep the farmers happy by putting in an appearance last night, the area has lost 1 peacock, 1 peahen, 14 ducks, 16 chickens, So i decieded to try and keep my permission, to head out and see what was to be seen, i went to the farmer who drives for me, and his friend, we got set up about 11-30 and headed out into the clam night.. After lamping what must of been 20 mins or first glimpse of those tell tale eyes lit up the lamp, With the growth of grass and weed

  16. It amazes me to see such courage and determination in the face of adversity, truely humbled by his courage, and his fight for life, i can only wish that i put as good a fight up with what i'm battling, although it seems rather insignificant when compared to his troubles.. The Strength of the human spirit has amazed me yet again...... i hope and pray that some of his strength of spirit rubs of a little on those who need it.. speedy recovery........ PC Rathband... Snap.
  17. hi mate, 87g v-max is a bit explosive for roe, so i'd go with the 87g BTHP (boat tail hollow point) n160 works well in the .243 as does varget... some like n140... personally i'd go for quality once mate, at least in the dies, and press, rcbs are good, lee single stage if monies tight.. i just gave a full set of lee dies away too, would of sorted you out if i hadn't they should post to your RFD..... maybe someone on here might know somewhere closer for you.. All the best.. snap.
  18. nice one... just remember what they are capable of doing, safe backstops and you should have trouble free shooting... good luck to you, hope you enjoy the coming season. Snap.
  19. As all the above have stated, nothing wrong with a .222, especially if your thinking of reloading in the future, However, the .223 has more rifle manufacture's making this calibre, rounds are more widely availabe, a little more power, ultimately its you choosing the gun and calibre you wish, people screamed at me for getting the .243 semi customed into a yes .243 !!!!!! But for me it does what i want it to do.... simple as, i know what the bullets are doing, i've shot it for years and i'm comfortable with it... So glad you went with your heart.... people are still shooting
