If the smokes pumped in to quick and too oily it seems to take um out quicker than bolting them. Also if the winds blowing well it blows the smoke staight thru the bury without going into the depths at times
I noticed that in the cw there was an advert for polecat x ferrets.I've seen pictures of this x before, but are they any good rabbiting.I thought they may be a bit hard.any thoughts on true polecats or polecat x?
He was our local terrierman, as usual pro hunt.I believe he was one of the longest serving hunt terriermen. He is retired now and breeds kc parsons. When he was with the heythrop he used little ugly 10" russells but different dogs for showing. To be honest our paths never crossed much, but he was ok with me (possibly as he knew I could wreck his days sport ).His terriers were generally bolter as this country is a riding one.As for shooting foxes not when he was part of the heythrop they are seriously snobby hunt.
He got an mbe for his work for fishing. Brillant bloke I met him once as he is the President of the ferret club I use to belong to. Not just ferreted in the uk but done a lot in Australia
Redrob. In the back of edrd.there is an advert, with Ginger French is flogging a load of collectables, such as dog ornaments, stuffed animals etc to raise some needed funds
I had a kc border and he became really hard,so I had to retire him and he lives a fat old life with my mum.He ratted well, good ferreter as well.I lent him to a keeper for a bit,but he did'nt get on with the keepers male dogs.
Smokers can be dodgy if the dogs keep putting there heads into the smoke filled holes. One of mine a couple of weeks ago passed out.Panic stations, fortunatly shes ok now.She was digging an unsighted hole.Thats the only time we've had an accident but,we do have regular breaks and never do anything to enclosed.
I believe a man called Eddie Chapman had some of the best jacks around. But as someone has all ready said jacks are not Patterdales etc.All the the hunts around me only use jacks
Had an accident, with a bitch pup of 6 months old going to ground and having to be dug out a few years ago.It was an extremly tight place and when I broke through charlie had tried to bolt but she had it by the brush and hung on for grim death, til I dug her out.
