  1. Cracking looking dogs. What I call proper Beddys.
  2. We always get them in willows in my part of the world.Had one land on me last season!
  3. as terrier2 said perthes.I had a terrier with it,we had it operated on but she never got 100 % use out of it.i know of a westie had it and she recovered well with virtually 100%.If you don't do something then the dog will always be in discomfort. The terrier I had the operation was a terrefic earthdog.Walking was fine but when she ran 3 legs. She also got frustrated not being able to out run the others when bushing. If I had the choice again I would have had her pts.Thats my opinon,if just a pet have the op.For goodsake don't breed!
  4. oxfordshire still a quid for ferretted.30p for shot ones.I give as many away as I sell.My uncle use to gather rabbits for local lads in his game freezer then do a deal for the game dealer and he'd give us a quid a piece and we could make a few quid, but my uncles retired,so we struggle to sell them.

  7. Hi [bANNED TEXT],whats acd stand for?
  8. Unfortunatly my lurcher had one out of a bird nest this summer! We once ferreted a wood and a whole family bolted. To putting your hand down a rabbit hole,I once went to do it, changed my mind then a fox bolted.Lucky
  9. Had my first ferretting trip on some new permission today.Started well 8 out of the first bury within half hour. I thought this will be a good mornings work. Went to the next bury and the rabbits were all sat in the field.Sent my terrier in to put them to ground, but they made a B line across an open field into a yard!Anyway netted up, ferrets in,bloody stoat shot out! It met my terrier, shame really as I like them.Did a few more buries and had total 17,not bad for a small outing.
  10. How many terriers have been saved due to his foresight to form the fell and moorland? RIP Mr Tyson you proved that terriermen have hearts.
  11. Cheeky gits you were there first.
  12. There are very good working stud dogs, you just need to know where to look.
  13. Her mum and auntie and 1/2 sister have never let me down. And mollys sire never let me down either and sadly went a warriors way.RIP
  14. You can get hold of sporting lucas terriers. You won't get hold of a Lucas terrier as they are such a closed shop. The waiting list for them is like a phone book and they vet everyone. The lady who runs it lives near me.Serious snobbery!
  15. I'll doubt she'll settle as her mum has'nt :clapper:
  16. I'm down there every 6 weeks or so.
  17. I assume you live in Eire! Well done anyway
  18. My sons live down there.More into ferreting though
  19. Unless brought up with ferrets from a pup,you have no chance.Even more so since its tasted blood.Lakelands are hard dogs- more they hurt the more they bite (they are breed to kill foxes).A ferret bite will only fuel the already raging fire.Sorry to tell you the hard facts
  20. I live in oxon area and have hunted your area a few times but we are short on rats at mo.We get pitches in fits and starts.I'll keep you informed.Took 497 down your way a couple of years back.
  21. Good trip mate.Don't you use Molly for ferreting?
