  1. All good books if someone's not read them...
  2. Agreed, reformed 'snacks' have no business here...
  3. Not when they are swilled down with a beer, no... Always remember, check each scratching, any with hair, have come from places they can't scrape... Just think about that..!
  4. Seabrooks crisps are the best... Ready salted are the best flavour, of any brand... Whatever happened to hedghog flavour..? Has Lineker f****d off for good..? I miss the blue salt packets... I don't eat crisps, because one packet is never enough...
  5. As it's about crisps, I thought 'young hunters talk' may be the most fitting..
  6. This may be a great topic, but posting it in the 'site suggestions' section does let it down a bit..! Moved...
  7. Ivomec - Kills everything bar the dog Unless your dogs a collie
  8. In this day of age we 'should' know better eh...!
  9. I really don't want to sound derogatory, but judging by those photos, that dog could strip a fair bit of weight...
  10. It's a long story... No, not seen Legsy myself for a few months. Spoke to him last back in May.
  11. Not sure Tony, but I think so. Peover isn't on this year though
  12. Whilst even the biggest advocates of 'genuine lines' of earth dogs look at a terrier with bull blood and admire it's physique. After that, everything is going down hill work wise... Those that breed them will say it's to strengthen snipey heads, or give them more fire, BUT you can improve all that, and retain working ability by using the right line of terrier. All that said, if anyone is thinking of breeding such a cross, let me know, as I'll be after a new ratter soon, and I want one that's scared of the dark...
  13. Without digging the book out. I'm pretty sure she was labeled as a Foxhound x Greyhound, but I'd doubt that. Also, in the 80's many of the old boys would say how Plummer borrowed from Drabble, Wadsworth and many other lesser known men. In Liverpool plenty would say Jimmy Keeling wrote Rogues and Running Dogs, sending it to the already published Plummer to give his thoughts. And the rest is history... Plummer's name was mud by many of the old boys. Bill Brightmoor showed me the revolver he chased Plummer off his farm with (not that Bill needed anything in his hands to be scary enough.
  14. Yep, that's the photo from the book, and for me, possibly the best lurcher photo of all time...
  15. Micky Rourke was also what made me watch it
  16. Of Pedigree Unknown and A Weasle in my Meatsafe are/were the 'go too' Drabble books imo. Rebecca the Lurcher by Andrew Simpson is also an enjoyable, nostalgic read.
  17. Both main Drabble books are well worth a read. No idea bout them pups, but they look in decent nick...
  18. I was never into American wrestling. Though I do remember raising an eyebrow at Hogan in the Rocky film and thought he'd probably kill Shirley Crabtree. 'Ol Kent Walton would shit himself with all that vocal... Then I watched it and couldn't get past the shouting.... For Gnasher, the film The Wrestler, starring Micky Rourke is a great insight to the life, and a powerful but poignant film too. I'd bet you'd enjoy it. Also The Iron Claw, a true story about a wrestling family, I also really enjoyed.
  19. I just looked through the window, looked like lots of T shirts and merch of stuff he wore. I didn't fancy a Wrestlemania bandana so I got the pic and we carried on to the beach.
  20. Was at that Quadraphenia tour myself mate, but we travelled down to Brum for it. PJ Proby playing the rocker.
