When I was 13 life changed for me and not for the better. I was sent to a reform school because I had lots of "serious" previous. Crime 1 caught shoplifting in Woolworths. . Crime 2 falling through an asbestos roof we were playing on and landing in a mill with offices which we explored and stole a few biscuits and milk and tried the handle on a safe. Not quite lol. But kids in the fifties had no stress because although school was a pain (literally)but there were no such things as scary exams or peer pressure or having poorer quality clothes than other kids because everybody was in the same boat. There was nothing to do in the house so you played out from morning till night. There was the baths, the picture house on Saturdays and bombed houses to explore. There were part time jobs and fights to settle differences instead of bitching on Instagram or Tik Tok. You could literally have a scrap and become friends again in seconds. I had no worr

What you state about Muslims in Japan not true mate. I think you are quoting a Facebook post containing those" facts" but it's not true. There are Muslims and mosques in Japan. They are not subject to any discriminatory laws. Japan has had to finally allow immigration because their own birth rate is so low. Some of these workers are Muslim. A lot work in the care sector.

I didn't know the word stress existed when I was a kid. There wasn't any as far as I was concerned. Occasionally men get stressed out on here and start gibbering. Most of us are either old timers or middle aged. So the next day it's forgotten. But for kids, constant social media is their whole life and reality. It's a f****n menace for their mental health. Especially girls. Plumping their lips, breasts and backsides is as medieval as primitive people who put rings around their necks to extend their neck length or stretch their ears or lips to look " beautiful". Is autism on the increase? I know friends whose kids have been diagnosed with the problem to varying degrees. Lots of kids have noise cancelling headphones. There also seems to be a lot of kids who have ADHD. Is it a case of more diagnoses because of better knowledge or something about modern life which is causing it? I think a lot of people are 'on the spectrum'. Me included. It's just a matter of degree.

I was in a bar in Spain watching a Manchester Derby.
