The bitch I had out of SS had good stamina. But not that good. One night I took her lamping up on permission I had in Northumbria. It was bitterly cold night with a vicious wind. There were rabbits everywhere and she caught maybe 20 odd. Suddenly, midway through a chase, she collapsed. My stupid fault, I hadn't taken account of the freezing temperature and vicious wind and had just overworked her without rests between rabbits. When I got her home she had returned to normal. Whippets ain't lurchers with a jacket and a bigger heart. I've beat myself up about that incident. But It was

Yes he definitely wanted a no breeding clause with the pups. Put me off. I had no intention of breeding but I think it's unreasonable to go down that route with pups. Do you think working whippets have an advantage over coursing bred or non peds?
-
I remember that bitch. He used to post on here. Caught big numbers. I remember he had a litter out of her and he wanted a clause in the pup's sale stating that nobody was allowed to breed from them.

I'm surprised he came out of show stock. Mike did keep pit bulls at one time, he told me he got himself in trouble with them. Not my thing. I heard from several sources his dogs had bull blood. But I could well be wrong.

No mate. I believe there was a bit of bull in him?

The two bitches I had were out of Sooty Sam. My favourite one had a deep wound similar to the one you describe. I had to walk six miles back to the car with her occasionally losing big pools of blood. I tried carrying her but she wouldn't have it. She carried on hunting all the way back to the car and jumped in the back without wincing. Got her back next morning stitched up like an old teddy bear and she behaved as though nothing had happened. I only corrected her once. She was eating something smelly and dead and carried on eating when I told her not to. I gave her scruff a shake

Oh ye of little faith. Pensioners rule as well as whippets.

Make it 6.30pm. Time those Nigerian gentlemen had a visit. I've collected a week's worth of dog shit and polished my steel toecap boots.

My dear old mum had a temper just like that.

Or, if the need to piss them off is irresistible, do it after you've eaten.

I've solved that problem. If I'm approached by a waiter when I'm masticating ( yes masticating, not masturbating), I simply flick two fingers at them. Solves the problem of speaking with your mouth full and the message is unmistakable.

I'd make a beeline for him! See how he likes a bunch of fives for not having my favourite grub. He's a poser, a plastic macho man. In real life he'd be as tough as the Paddington bears his mother made which gave him his wealth. When I had ransacked the place, I would empty the tills and give the proceeds to my brothers...the minimum wage heroes who prop up our economy. Moving into the kitchen I would make a citizens arrest of any black illegal workers I found peelng spuds or making Paddington bears for a quid an hour. I would hog tie them and send them to Ireland as a gift to you so

We bought a whippet pup just as a pet. I promised the Mrs I wouldn't work it. After a lifetime of late night adventures, injuries to the lurchers and outside dogs, I'm a reformed character. Mutt is spoiled to f**k and the wife's toy. Fair dos.She gets a real bang out of it. I do miss bringing up a lurcher, entering it , mooching and lamping though. But time catches up.

A spaniel will pull on the lead. As you know they are high energy/ driven. Not good for a lady pensioner. Just arrive home with a cute whippet pup as a present for her. Wrap it in a pink bow. Job done.

Ya big pensioner bothering puff.

Shame about Catterall. It was close. Does Parker have a chance? I think so. The logical argument is Dubois is born again,is fulfilling his potential and that he will easily overpower Dubois. But Parker is no mug and is also a better fighter under new trainers than he was. And Dubois leaves himself exposed nearly all of the time. Parker's best chance imo is to take Dubois into the later rounds and see if he can get into Dubois' head. Just maybe Danny the quitter will reveal himself again. Looking forward to it.

Your interpretation. Not mine. He said he would replace the lost rust belt jobs in" like two seconds". None transpired. He said he would create jobs anywhere jobs where jobs were lost. Where are they? He said he would solve the Ukraine war in " 24 hours". He and Musk have got extensive business dealings in Russia. Is that why he's in bed with his longstanding pal Vlad? But he also wants half of Ukraine's mineral reserves. How does that work? When he's ethnically cleansed Gaza he's going to make it the " riviera of the middle East". Wonderful statesman. If you are very, very ric

Am otter experience.... One idyllic summer's morning just at dawn I got down to my favourite salmon pool. A female otter and two cubs maybe twelve weeks old were feeding in the pool. I froze and then enjoyed watching them diving and resurfacing, cursed them for ruining 'my' pool ( salmon are seriously spooked by otters) and walked on to the next pool. As soon as they saw me the mother gave a warning whistle and dived out of sight. One of the cubs became confused, saw my movement ,climbed onto the bank and followed me maybe 20 yards mistaking me for its mum.( I'm an oily looking

Agree with a lot of that. The " orange oracle" went over everybody's heads and signed a deal with the Taliban. All those western troops killed and maimed for nothing. An absolute disgrace.

Poor Jeremy caught lying. And he has to go to the trouble of avoiding tax by putting his land into a trust. Poor Jeremy! Pay tax like the rest of us have to ya fat b*****d. And if you're going to punch someone, don't pick on lowly BBC employees half your size. Ya coward.

https://youtu.be/_YMVPXmaKds?si=dV1U-viQiZPLAGIp I'm ready and primed for action. As long as there's plenty of Portaloos dotted along the battlefield, Putin had better beware.

The idea of democracy is now outdated. Which ever party we vote for we get patronised, ignored and ripped off. The planet is run by the super rich. And we are just passive observers. Twas ever thus. But now it's plain to see.

The problem is 'mission creep '. Once brit troops are on the ground and they come under fire. Then what? But I agree, he's probably just trying to create a personality for himself.

He has stated tonight that he is willing to put UK soldiers on the ground in Ukraine. f**k that. Nobody voted for that. Does he think Russia won't retaliate against us? Does he think the USA will back us? No discussion about it in parliament. I wonder if he'd be willing to send his own children into war with Russia?

Ice Hockey hooligans and Canada doesn't want to be the 51'st state.

Can you imagine the shock horror, need for an inquiry, endless moralising if that happened in a sporting event in the UK? Over there its meh, big deal, boys will be boys, it's what the crowd want to see.
