    Take it easy Stiff I think he was just making the point that Sunderland supporters were generally decent working class guys who care about their club. Don't think he was claiming to be the master race. I know you can't generalise but I've found lads from the North East very genuine and easy to get along with..... no hidden side.     One of my favourite sporting moments of all time was when Sunderland won the FA cup in 73. I was working at the time and me and another bloke 'covered' for a couple of Sunderland lads. They had smuggled a tiny black and white portable telly into work and hid in a store cupboard to watch the match. Me and a mate were to do their work and make excuses for them if the boss appeared. That was the plan anyway, but the match was so good we all ended up in the store cupboard watching it.Had a soft spot for Sunderland ever since that game. A real David and Goliath victory.     Years ago you could tell a minshaw dog just by looking at it. They had a similar skull shape. Imho they did have something extra.....something over and above the average lurcher. Another characteristic was they were not fox dogs, usually they were completely disinterested in fox. My minshaw was no world beater but had tremendous willingness and stamina.

    I had a pup out of Blue. Minshaw said he wanted 700 quid. (Seriously) We eventually agreed on 60. Blue in my opinion had a good dose of bull in him. I never saw him work but minshaw showed me a couple of scrapbooks with photos of gear he and other minshaw dogs had killed. It was very very impressive. He was full time at it and I know for a fact he kept a game dealer well supplied. I dont know about him being a nonce but I heard his house was burnt down after the accusation. The pup wasn't the best dog i ever had.

    ?? I was in Malaga last week. I stopped to stroke a couple of galgos outside a bar. One of them gave a low warning growl and the other started to tremble with fear.Belatedly, the owner said " no tocar". Don't touch!     On a different note I am continually surprised that, with mass air travel, a virulent bug has not emerged which will decimate the earth's population. We have had scares with Ebola and HIV. One day I suspect something like Spanish flu (which wiped out millions) will emerge and will be as devasting as mixie is to rabbits. It would be a great thing for the ecological balance of the earth, not so good for the individuals affected. With that note, I bid you all adieu??.
