Stan Stan the tory man is right. Jukebox is making that point exactly, I am also making the point that it IS working. Working very well. Can you point to a a far right country which scores so highly on international measurements of standard of living, happiness, trust ,equality , lack of corruption, health, pensions etc?

Bloody Finland . One of the richest countries in the world by population. Consistently voted best education service in the world . NO private schools. No streaming. Every child is important whether he/she is thick or disabled. All children are provided with free school meals. The VERY best people recruited as teachers. No archaic class system. No parasitical monarchy. No divisive hunting laws. Thousands of lakes to fish for free. Very high union membership 85%. A THRIVING private sector which works with the unions not against them. First class health system better than ou

It's an age and winter thing. Turn down the temperature on your shower head. Only half dry yourself with a towel and apply moisturiser. Cut your fingernails short so you can't scratch yourself. Use moisturiser on the affected areas. Wear long socks covered with moisturiser and a vest covered with moisturiser. Try and get some water into the atmosphere at home. Simplest way is to dry clothes on a radiator. Works for me.?

Maybe Kante? Ex Leicester, now Chelsea. Win the ball pass the ball. Probably not as good as Kante to be honest. I think Kante had a lot to do with Leicester with winning the premiership PS an update on JohnL Gardner from another post. He had a pub in the North East which was firebombed, I hope it was an insurance job, ?an old mate of mine told me he drank there and it had a real good vibe.

Nobby was a freak of nature, 5 ft 6 inches, very poor eyesight but a ferocious ball winner who often stretched the rules a little. I remember he had Eusabio in his pocket in the world Cup semi final. He was an animal on the pitch but an approachable bloke off it. He would always give us kids his autograph and have a joke with us. Yet another with dementia. Rotten way to go.

Why reinvent the wheel bud? Rays Buck is as good a cross of that kind as you're going to get in my opinion. Its a proven cross that does the business on all prey. What's to improve? As far as the Mal cross, all you are getting in my opinion is a collie cross. You could easily train a border collie to rag a sleeve and jump about like a super canine athlete. The problem is they are hyper, making them a pain in the ass to kennel. And generally to have around. You don't get that kind of a headache with a GSD cross.jmho.

Rashford does donate personally to at least two charities. One for the homeless in Manchester and his fareshair scheme. That scheme has raised well over £20 million. I'm from the same area as Rashford and I am personally proud of him. Very proud in fact. They should put up a statue of him. I've donated too. I've recently donated to £100 to the Trussel Trust which provides supplies food banks, and I give a monthly sum to Oxfam. I'm not virtue signalling, but like Rashford, I put my money where my mouth is. All his critics have obviously never been through real, grinding poverty. It's somet

I used to work with a bloke that had been a POW. He used to hoard food and eat everybody's leftovers from the canteen. To him it was perfectly logical. He never knew when bad times were coming back.. He was the most gentle, caring bloke ever. He came round to my house and noticed the kids pet rabbits and guinea pigs were begging at the wire mesh for food. It really upset him thinking they were hungry. So from that moment on he used to gather loads of grass twice a week and bring it round so the kids pets would never go hungry. Some of the lads used to be rough on him and call him 'gannet

Thing is most kids receiving free school meals have at least one working parent. Losing 20% of wages is massive if you are on f**k all wage. It entitles a lot more kids to free meals. Did Harry Kane receive free school meals when he was a kid as Rashford did? Has he used his position to help out kids as Rashford has? Come on lads see beyond the kids skin tone. I was supposed to get free meals when I was a kid as did my wife. I refused them because the meal tickets were different colours. You were marked out as a loser. Instead I used to go to a bakery and buy a penny loaf. My aunti

My experience too. I was out grafting at ten. Milk rounds, paper rounds, thieving, window cleaning, worked for the scrappie. Bought and sold. Out of school at 13. Figured out working for the man was a mugs game and started a business. Always paid proper wages. Retired at 55. My mam had nothing but she took in all sorts of ragamuffins, fed them and gave them a bath. I remember me and my cousin being lifted for robbing gas meters. I was 13 They were from empty houses that were due to be pulled down. For me it was a victimless crime but for the magistates it was a big deal. We got si

I'm not a commie but I can't help but admire how the Chinese have virtually eliminated Covid. They are capable of testing eleven million people in two weeks. We can't even get our " world beating testing service" even remotely functional. A better example of co7ntries where there is a high degree of state support and intervention would be the Nordic countries, especially Finland. Brilliant place. Consistently scores as the best place to live in the world.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. I do believe in the so called 'nanny' state. The more individual citizens are looked after by the state the more I like it.I prefer to call it responsible government. The Daily Mail and co can spew their venom about 'handouts' and 'elf and safety' but the truth is that it's the duty of the state to nurture and protect its citizens. I can remember my mam in the fifties taking me to the doctors for jabs and being absolutely over the moon that I wouldn't get polio etc. In those days we were given cod liver oil, orange juice and free school milk. The result

Astanley, I apologise for pissing you off. I just cannot get my head round why a working class liverpudlian would support the tories on anything. The tories have targeted Liverpool over decades by deliberately underfunding the area. They underfund the North as a whole but especially target Liverpool because it is such a staunch working class area with traditional ' your never walk alone values'. Boris Johnstone personally insulted scousers by saying you guys had a ' victim mentality'. Liverpool has more than its fair share of deprivation why would you agree with the tories that its poorest k

I'm sorry gents, if head teachers, parents and social workers report kids in genuine need of a hot meal then ffs let's feed our kids in a national emergency. Why do we need a vote in the commons and endless debate to feed the nation's kids? Its not about political affiliations or scoring party points, its about common sense and humanitarianism.
-
If you' re not on the wind up, you must be the only scouser who agrees with the bustards. You don't buy The Sun do you?
-
So our true blue comedian Boris Johnstone has, along with 321 of his fat _arsed colleagues decided not to offer school meals during the school holidays to the nation's poorest children. They say they don't want to encourage a "dependency" culture. "Handouts" are not the forward they reckon in their infinite f***ing wisdom. One third of children lived in official poverty before Covid and two thirds of those children had a least one parent working. Since many parents are now furloughed or have lost their jobs because of Covid, there must be many families really living on the bones of t

Lots of parents struggling to feed their kids with only Covid benefits coming in. Some are getting no benefits. No kids should be hungry in 2020. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/554276

I guess it's 50000 over the normal figure averaged over several years.

ONS reckons there's an extra 50000 deaths on same period last year. What I can't get my head around is why anybody gives a f**k about oldies from my generation. The economy and our way of life has been destroyed to save the lives of a few thousand non producers. When did the tories suddenly become so caring? Governments generally send you to war and rip you off all your life! I can only think it's a kind of peer pressure from other countries. That and the fact that If they let the virus rip nobody would ever vote tory again.
