  1. Male harris on rabbits over ferrets and hopefully in a cast with another male and a female, wish me luck lol What birds are you hunting this season bud ?
  2. Too be honest lads i dont see why your arguing on it, nothing you lot say will change a thing, way i see it is i look after my own dogs so why should i worry about how other peoples are cared for or whether they have insurance or not, theres no point. A few lads spouting few on a hunting forum will change nothing
  3. Sorry mate dont think she does the yorkie stands just short of 5 inches at 4 years old, not sure of the weight but when he got his boosters they gave him what the vet described as kitten doses. Not that it matters anyway he is a little shit that gets under my feet all the time lol, i havent a clue how many times ive trod on him when out ha I'll give you that one, buddy! But only just - they are, after all, "Mummy's little babies" ha i have just realised that he does serve a purpose, he takes away the possibility of me being portrayed as a chav for owning a staffie as on one hand i h

  5. Im sick to the back teeth of people branding anybody who wants a staffie a chav, yes many do want these dogs for the wrong reasons but why does that mean anybody who owns one is the same as those. Dont shoot me down for this but i think many bull breeds make the best pet as they want nothing more than to please and are a pleasure to own, ive put alot of time into mine and have made a great obedient dog that would shit when i asked him too ha whereas the yorkie is good for nothing other than warming your lap. The article in effect makes out that bull breeds prey on the fluffy creatures, bolloc
  6. Nothing you or i can do about that, in an ideal world that would happen but we wont ever live in an ideal world so no point in worrying about it

  8. Sorry mate the thread just got me a little pissed of with all the negative shite about bull breeds, annoyed me a little with the insurance part with bull breed owners being charged more, when the little breed dogs are the worst and most irritating creatures on the planet lol. 10. Here you go bud plenty to choose from http://slingshotforum.com/forum/27-templates-support-topics/
  11. im sure it will ha, my earlier post wasnt a dig, i know how you have the time to fly all the birds you do, its jealousy more than anything id love to be in your position lol
  12. Was going to ask what on but i seem to have caught you in a bad time. Good luck anyway
  13. Same with any BOP but nevertheless the harris hawk has been bred way too much and is still getting worse so i need not contribute to that. Not that i dont agree with breeding as if it didnt happen we wouldnt be able to fly birds lol its just something that i dont want to do myself or use my birds for
  14. get what you mean mate, but it wont ever be my thing to breed birds, would rather buy someone elses from a reputed breeder. Plus i dont think i will fly another harris so i wont need any youngsters from him. So you dont think harris hawks are bred too much ?
  15. theres no need to breed birds unless theres a high demand, even though the harris is and will forever be the most popular bird there is still a surplus every year, id rather be hunted once a week but still flown everyday than be in a breeding aviary producing non required birds
  16. jesus i havent enough time for two birds let alone all the ones youve got? what you intending to do with him/her bud
  17. this morning at 5am, my next door neighbours been one for 30+ years lol
  18. dont know why but its been weighing heavy on my mind lately, what age do harris hawk and others hawks begin to slow down and not able to take as much as what they would have younger? id say the peak age of a harris is probably 8-10 years but i havent a clue, after this do they seem to drop off slightly, anybody regularly HUNTED a harris until later of an age. mine wont be put in a breeding pen but flown until he comes to an end, but surely they carnt be flown and hunted 7 days a week when they reach into there elder years. im thinking maybe 3 days max when there really old. i k
  19. ive had some amazing sport with the hawk mate, ive loved every season spent with him and know just how capable they can be in the right hands. theres nothing humble about a harris as many people think, the more time you put into them the more they give back. dont want to seem big headed but i know ive done as good as is possible with him, all my spare time through the season has been devoted to him and in the end he was as fit as he could be which resulted in some fantastic and memorable flights, carnt wait for next season
  20. Your bang on. A male harris is an accident waiting to happen. Strongly advise against if its a male as they arent strong enough or big enough to take a squirrel confidently. YOu need the right bird for the job , female harris or a red and then only if the bird meets a certain criteria. decided against it bud, unless it happens by accident i aint going out looking for trouble
  21. i was at the cinema last year in Scarborough on our holidays and we went to go and watch pirates of the carabian, anyway a group of about 6 lasses dressed as pirates came through the door, only one of them had to turn sideways to fit through the door, they go walking to there seats and just as she was about to sit down my 5 year old nephew who has been staring at them the whole ways up pipes up and shouts “ that fatties not gonna fit in there” everybody starts staring at this lass then when she does sit down and manages to fitin my nephew pipes up again and says “ christ she has” everybody
