  1. Ye I thought the same. They only shot one pheasant. The rest was decent pot shots on baby rabbits. No skill really. Not being funny but the amount of times they missed to how many they hit was embarrassing
  2. Ebay mate. I was planning on finishing and banding them mate but if your wanting a blank we can sort summat out? Just message me
  3. Don't suppose you lads fancy helping me out with some photos please. I'm putting together a scrap book for an extended project and need photos that I'm allowed to use inside the scrapbook and be reviewed by examiners. Basically I'm looking for hunting photos from any type of field sport. They need to be clean pics however as I'm trying to put hunting in a good light so a fox with half its brain hanging out won't do lol. I've only got 6 days left so any help will be appreciated thank you. Pheasant drive pictures will be a massive help. Thanks
  4. When I'm not hunting I do the odd bit of catapult making and shooting. Used to keep a 5ft tropical fish tank and enjoyed that until a house move forced me to sell it on. Do a good deal of countryside walking with the staffie in the off season, keep my eye on game number and hot spots for the season. Never switch off from hunting though. Always seeing things that other people don't, they think I'm weird when I get excited about seeing the local spar chasing a blackbird lol. Wouldn't mind trying my hand at stick making but will wait till winter for that

  6. There's some really fancy ones out there with fishing line, hooks, Fire starters, snares. They could come in handy one day, you never know
  7. Mine took 10 mins once I got in a rhythm with the knotting
  8. Aha, used mine twice now. Once as the full bracelet to attach to a thin piece of rope I was given for a pulling bull x lol. Then the second time my mate had it off me to hang a deer ready for skinning
  9. Anybody else wear one. Heres the one I've made the other week. Wouldn't be without it now
  10. Heard of a few people that hunt with eagles but generally there not suited to falconry, which is hunting with a bird of prey not just flying it. In saying that though my mate who I have no reason to disbelieve told me he caught a fox cub with his female once. Look into falconry a bit more and get a Harris or retail for the rabbits
  11. After maybe 15m I've found but that's plenty accurate for catty ranges
  12. Dan ford doesn't make them any more I believe mate
  13. They're only in the big wilkos stores. Not the little express ones. Town centre ones will be your best bet. I have three pretty close so I'm lucky. Always ask if they have any more nuts in the back if you clear the tub. They usually do
  14. Nice one. Hard to shoot this time of year. Can't wait for the leaves to drop and then I can make a dent I'm the population with the catty and hopefully the hawk
  15. With the bearings being smaller they will penetrate easier and be less effected by wind resistance so should be quiet a bit faster
  16. Go to wikos mate. They do a PIC and mix DIY stand. You can get a large bag to fill up for £3. Get about 350 nuts in a bag
  17. both with M10 hexnut. Rabbit was about 10m. Glad I put it out its misery as it was pretty bad with mixi. Pigeons from tonight 12m
  18. Anybody want this £15 posted? It's a lovely fitting catty but could do with sanding and refinishing as its been used abit. Hence the low price. Also its a solid boardcut so dont really recommend it for newcomers who are prone to hitting the forks. Thanks
