  14. basically I use a yaesu vr 500 scanner with a yagi to track my falconry transmitter which is attached to the hawk incase I lose her out hunting. Last season it worked perfectly but when ive come to use it again ive pissed about with it and ended up having to factory reset it. now ive got the scanner so it is picking up the transmitters signal but its nowhere near as accurate as it was and needs to be, as it is it will tell me if im in the same field as the transmitter but I cant pin point it. anybody know how to change the sensitivity or whatever it is I need to do ? thanks

  17. Cheers lads, Ye Joe the tiredness was and still is a major problem. I hate it with how active i am but when I flare up I just haven't got it in me to do anything. Then everybody makes out that I'm being pathetic or not helping myself, that makes it harder. I'm gonna take everybodies advice about a diet review because like a tit I've ate what I've wanted after the surgery and as I'm writing this I'm having a minor flare up and with the season starting soon I don't need that. Thanks again for the well wishes
  18. I'm doing it because she's 3 year old and not been flown for longer than 2 weeks by her last owner. She's really scatty and stresses easily so I don't want to be manning her when she's in low condition because she Bates like mad and ends up panting for ages. Just gonna take things slow with her, even when I start reducing her its only going to be small amounts at a time until she comes round. With a fresh out the chamber harris I would be doing exactly as you've said but unless you see her you can't see how much of a fruitloop she is lol.
  19. I'm not bothered if she doesnt fly hare if im honest, if she does and she gets one that's great, but if she's not bothered then you can't miss what youve never had. She's been fed plenty of hare carcasses through the moult so I'm hoping she will at least try a flight at one, that's why I'm gonna try get her on the early season inexperienced hares, see what happens
  20. Looking good mate, ordering all my new equipment on Monday then reclaiming the hawk on the 24 th. Gonna man her for a week straight then reduce her weight the following week. Gonna do a few lure flights to a dead rabbit then move her straight on to the real stuff. All things going well she will be entered early September. Once shes had a few kills im gonna try her at hare see how she takes to them, if she doesn't then I will start her on the lamp. Should be a good season
  21. That's a cracking post, make a seperate topic and get that pinned in here
  22. Ye me too mate, starting to get itchy now lol. shes all done its just how long I leave her now, wait till September time I think once the fields are done. Need to get her on some easy bunnies because she ill need the confidence booster. Can't wait to see what this season brings
