real mature, if there is chance it can be saved then why not help it? law supporting of course. if it was everybody's idea to (chap animals on the heed) when they have ran into a bit of trouble there would be alot of dead animals that otherwise would have been able to be released back into the wild. buzzards dont cause nowhere near the amount of damage fox and other preadators cause so why kill it. im pretty sure it will be illegal to do so anyway. grow up

alot of people think hunters are the cruelest type of people around, your opposition against all that and have done something that is not only a credit to you but to the sport as a whole. Whilst I have no interest in running dogs at all what you have done has made me appreciate what hunting is all about and how there are many variations of hunting but at the end of the day everybody has been pulled in by this story whether they hunt with dogs or not, and many are more than willing to help you and the dog out if needed. keep it up. atb with the dog bud

heard about it done but havent seen anyone back it up with hard evidence. an eagle owl sat on a dead fox proves fuk all. id love to see an eagle owl hunting fox regularly but i doubt it will happen. if it has happened i bet it was only a one off. love how the eagle owl looks. menacing but cute at the same time lol

there stunning bpr ive got a fishing mould that makes 12mm leads balls so that what im choosing to shoot and ive heard leads the best for hunting. im gonna be shooting 10mm steel for pigeons to feed to the hawk as they cant eat lead and i dont want to risk any chance of lead being in the hawk food. its just gonna be for the opportunist pigeon whilst ferreting and the odd rabbit we come across sitting out

ye ive already bought it. just using it to get to grips see if i like it before i buy a proper one. didnt want to buy a handmade one until i know how to shoot them properly as id probably up shooting the forks and damaging it lol. the forks are wider than a handmade one so there more forgiving until i get to grips with catapult shooting. thanks for the help bud

ye it is epic. no, cats shouldnt be a problem suppose its all down to the cat as ive a woman across the road who has 4 and even when they are wondering they never trouble the bird. ive a shed with 1 perch running diagonally across the shed which the bird is tied to then in moulting time he is untethered and left to go through the shed window into an outside weathering thats attatched to the shed, free to fly onto a number of perches. during holidays im lucky enough to have my shooting partner to feed the bird, and as most holidays are in the summer when birds are moulting the food can just be -
at thoresby game fair a bloke was flying 2 harris hawks. the female called maggie was 29 years old and was still flying great and was the first to the lure compared to the younger harris. this is the team that does the display but it must need updating as it says the bird is 26. but as it shows she is still used for hawk walks. the latest update is the pictures from that day at thoresby http://www.hawkeyefalconry.co.uk/news.php

have you let her see you giving her food. if she has she will squark and theres not much you can do about it now. what i do is lock mine in his mews put the food outside then unlock him when he cant see me to eat his food or when i get home late i put his food in when its dark and he will find it in the morning so you could try that. or depending on your weathering design if you cant prevent the bird from seeing you, you could try and hood your bird without stressing her out and place the food down before taking the hood off and leaving her to eat the food in peace, never done this myself so d

supposedly you only need 3ftlb of energy to kill a rabbit so as long as it shoots at that you should be ok. why not just neck them?
