I have permission but still don't want a dog yapping and drawing attention,I also don't want it hunting too far ahead. I've only owned terriers as bushers,but the spaniels I've been out with put more game up,were less prone to pretending to be deaf and never had any worry of them going to ground. I'd be interested to hear their draw backs.

But are you really saying that people who would gladly fight one on one aren't capable of making the decision to take a hiding when completely outnumbered in favour of a more preferable outcome? We might be creatures of instinct but we're sentient enough to not be ruled by them. A persons fight or flight response is dictated by the situation as much as their general mental attitude. The lads grabbing his ear cocking his hand right back and the lad on the floor isn't flinching at all before he gets hit. he's out with his eyes open. I hope it's not over a dog being beaten,I'd hate to see animal rights loons start getting taken seriously in eastern Europe as well.

He fella was for the most part unconscious,you can tell because he hardly reacts when he gets hit,no flinching before he gets hit either. unless he's a rapist or worse he didn't deserve that,certainly not for smacking a dog.

I just trot them when on lead,off lead I'll just keep an eye on him and take a break if he looks knackered,letting him have sniff around and catch up in his own time.

Anyone had this? My lurcher had a hard (accidental) run yesterday,also took a few knocks and has developed a cough this morning. he's unfit and it was quite warm when it happened.

anyone find them any good for anything else? I remember reading in Germany before they were banned they used them for All sorts,tracking,retrieving,protection work etc I'd Love to get hold of a decent one and see what it's capable of.
