  2. "There is a code of conduct that the NWTF and the FMWTC do not teach young terrier men, Makes sense if you read the complete sentence,I don't think M.R1 was having a go at young terriermen at all

  7. I voted no,But imo it won't make much difference anyway as it's not the KC that f**k up breeds,Its greedy b*****ds that put money before the dogs .Take a look on EPUPZ and i think you'll find there's already 2 types of 'patterdale' working and pet, check out what some people are asking for pups now without being KC reg These are the people that are doing the damage..Would also be interesting to see any planned breed standard seeing as Black,Red and Chocolate/Liver are permissable colours in KC Lakelands.Seems to me as if 'Patterdales'have already been registered just some daft twat wants to d

  10. I've been out of the lamping game for a few years, but my mate has got a Whippet so we've had a few nights out this season and if i'm honest we mainly get home with feck all to show for our efforts, either due to lack of rabbits or inexperienced dogs, his whippet is young and my bullx is 9 but has only been used for daytime work with terriers so this is new to her as well...Anyway we had afew hours out last night and managed to put (don't laugh) 6 in the bag The fawn dog is a pedigree Whippet from coursing lines and belongs to Amroth 29 off this site. The black bitch is my 9yr old 1stx bull grey
  11. In my opinion it,s an old wives tale, one that i don't believe at all even the most basic knowledge of reproduction would show it's a myth..

  17. I paid £287 for my B&F in 2005,and imo it,s been worth every penny,i've heard a few people moan that it takes too long to pinpoint a dog but i think that half the time they're worried about the dog coming away before they can find it let alone dig to it.If and when the time comes that i need a new locator then i would probably try the Ortovox but feel that if B&F hadn't brought out their system we'd all still be using the mk1 deben as they didn't up their game till B&F got involved..Choose what you want but imo both are a vast improvement to Deben who are the real rip offs in thi
  18. They've got to find and stay,i know it's a cliche, but the day that i can guarantee every pup i breed will work THEN AND ONLY THEN will i worry what they look like, and i am far away from that goal..
  19. (SILENTHUNTER)proberly not thats why he's asking only seen one good border that was from an old terrierman he's dead now it was off livy oaks strain worked fox well but wasnt my sort of terrier Why don't you f**k off back to fantasy island cos i've looked through your posts and have come to the conclusion that you're full of shit and i'd be on a pretty safe bet if i said you'd NEVER dug to a terrier..Prove me wrong and i'll happily apologise
  20. I've been reading this thread with interest, imo the 2 most performance bred dogs are the pitbull and the greyhound. Can anyone on here say what colour either of these breeds are/should be? For a long time i wouldn't keep a black and tan terrier as i believed it was a sign of pedigree blood, have a look at the LakelandTerrier breed standard permitted colours, you might be surprised(i was).I just bred a litter from my red dog over his black daughter and got 1red 2b&t and 3black pups, does that make them lakelandxpatterdales? Does it bollox they're all the same breed/type no matter what the colou
