  1. My russel is the same except I'm pretty sure he'd follow it up with a bite and he's got a serious bite on him, if I'm not home and a stranger is at ours like a plumber or summat he goes mental till they feck off to protect my missus and daughter which I don't mind and I think she is quite happy about it too. If I'm home he doesn't bother.

You would put this up the day after I bought a sodding aviary wouldn't you
  4. Your still taking a step forward every time though mate and its early days yet, good luck with the rest of your season
  5. My new aviary I got yesterday My first linnet mule (probably a hen knowing my luck) A hen I bred last year who had my first round of young this year now sitting on 5 linnet mules
  6. what you think the dogs are?? I wouldn't like to say what they are, all I was saying was I think that lad bought it in good faith as a 3/4 kerry cross so if it is a bull cross then he was conned too.
  7. I can remember seeing that 3/4 kerry cross on the forums when it was a pup, I think it was a lad from manchester way had him. He had no reason to lie about the dogs breeding did he?
  8. If I didn't have any dogs I'd be getting a nice collie cross and training it for all the tasks I need a dog for, 1 man dog for a 1 dog man.
  9. She'd need a long rest after I'd had her over the table, milf!
  10. I've lobbed my goldies in the new aviary with the dimorphic that built up ages ago and hasn't layed yet, hopefully they will get a bloody move on now. Fireman in your mixed aviaries do the finch cocks still tread canaries even when there's a hen of their own species in there?
  11. Their not all hens mate there's definitely singers amongst them, it might be not enough nest boxes though so overcrowded at night?
  12. I don't have that problem anymore now I've not got the mental whippet but had a lot of times losing her. In the dark somewhere you shouldn't be shouting a dog is a arse twitcher too. Couple of times I gave up and was off to bed but always seemed to find her at the last minute, looking back it would have saved me lots of headaches if I hadn't found the mad b*****d.
  13. If you keep sprinkling wheat down in a wood the pigeons soon twig on that its there, I think its been banned now though as lads were doing it for the roost shooting round here and were putting down a ton or two a week in one wood but apparently they can't anymore. They fecked the whole area up for everybody else who was sat every sat afternoon waiting in their woods while these lads had bladdered 300 in the morning then gone so the pigeons could settle back in the wood.
  14. Canary hens are like rocking horse shit though mate, if i had more hens the linnet would be a very busy boy as theres no canary cock out there now. This goldie better pull his finger out though or i'll be having to bring him back for the hens the linnet dislikes. My 8x4 aviary should be getting delivered (carried across the road by me) tomorrow so I might just lob the goldies and spare hens out in that and hope for the best. Has anyone ever used bengalese for fostering canaries and mules etc? I got some to try it with but I don't like them so gave them to next door for his aviary and they stil
  15. I've always been led to believe that too much pigeon can make humans ill (high iron content?) but can't see it being a problem in a varied raw diet.
  16. 2 of my youngest mules have popped their clogs, I knew they would as it was always the biggest 3 up for food
  17. they paid for permision their side you were given permision your side and british waterways own the bit in the middle That was my thinking, i've got a rod licence and the bank is private land owned by my work so i'm covered
  18. I like reading the exaggerated weights on the pictures people sent to angling times the lying b*****ds.
  19. Cheers lads, I'll tell anyone on the other side to f off then and if they come round I'll boot them off for trespassing;)
  20. Waiting on 5 Irish fancy eggs and 5 linnet mule eggs now. The goldie is in with a hen who's built up so hopefully he fills eggs this time, when she's layed he's going in with an Irish hen whos chicks have fledged and then if she lays everything spare is going in my aviary with the goldies (no canary cocks) in a last ditch attempt at goldie mules.
  21. If a club has the fishing on a waterway but only one side of the bank and the other side is private can you legally fish it with the landowners permission to be on the land? Cheers, gnipper
  22. There's a pond I fish that's got plenty in mixed with some big commons, a pure white one that's got to be over ten easy but its a crafty b*****d and keeps its distance from the baits.
  23. You'll get the hang of it mate, I've only done a few and found it fiddly but not hard. Have a practice on some canaries or bigger mules with the bigger rings.
