I'd have thought there would be better dogs to use out of the tin tbh I'd imagine it's been a fair few generations since any have been used For anything but showing or pets that guard a bit,what do you want to add by using them?size? Weight? Nice ridge down there back?nothing that you need in a running dog imho Incidentally I've seen a ridge back cross work,average bordering on slow Bull cross hands down if you need more strength,tenacity or balls -
Similar to my patterdal cocker that is,yours looks maybe a bit leggier.

Yea the beagles are bad enough but what has happened to the Bassett disgrace I saw a discussion somewhere on the net and the show breeders wouldn't have it they were wrong .they said the working Bassetts are mongrels and they have the "true" type ,shameful.

If they are the pinnicle of their breeds why is it they are so fat? The poodle (with the exception of its stupid hair cut) looked fairly fit,unlike the Rottweiler and Irish wolfhound

As regards to price....that's a difficult one but market forces rule. Pay what you are prepared to pay , some will sell for what they can get. Happens in all other breeds but I think you can smell the rat in it for the money the way they talk .The genuine ones will talk about the great days they've had with there dogs,the others will talk about the breeding ,feeding costs stud fees and probably mention you breeding yours when older but it would have to be special for me to dig deep to spend more than a couple of £100. But if it's the game you are in and you match dogs for money it's up to

Why the difference in price for dog and bitch pups, I know you can have a litter but surely a 6 week old pup that should bec the furthest from anyone's mind. Incidently greyhounds tend to be more expensive for males
