I know its before the lurcher FM but red deer came over here 11000 years ago and there's also evidence to suggest hares may not be truelly native either which is quite interesting -

Socks your right, there's plenty of people that are still stuck in the 70s and 80s with there methods which they pass onto there apprentices And they never advance. The people they 'teach' are peaked at the end of there first or second season And there standards never get any greater and you get generation after generation that are happy keeping mediocre dogs but then these people I have found just use hunting as a sort of infill when there bored where as the people that strive to continuously improve have hunting as a part of if not there life

He's a compulsive lier, was sat at a show with my old man yapping to him and I don't claim to be a foxing man but my old man was for nearly 20 Years taking 100 - 150 a season and mark sat and told him that the little brindle bitch had killed over 300 without a mark single handed her biggest being 38 lb lol

What meets one man's is never going to meet anothers. A group of people will have a standard they have amongst themselves based on what they work and how often They work it. Whether the antis like it or not people continue to work illegal quarry so a man that does 100 foxes a season but does waste a run on a rabbit isn't going to want a pup from say one of the dogs you see that catches 100 bunnies a week as it just might not have the minerals to even take a fox. People should breed from dogs that do what they want as often as they need it and people after pups should just hope that if the
