The net in that pic smithie is 20/15 spun poly (engels) double knit, 5 1/4 full mesh and 15 mesh deep, its set on hazel pegs with groves on top to sit in and anchored down with mini end pins, and as youve seen the hares push there head through and wrap up nicely. At the back end of the season i made a few permi-set gate nets on hazel pegs with 8z nylon 4" mesh, these nets are various sizes and all have 50 percent extra running kill . i can leave these with the land owner should he surprise me whilst working his land. these net work brilliantly ill show you this coming season (on permissi

  8. Get some 4 or 6z and cut holes in it then practice mending the holes. All you need to remember is you have to cut away some meshes to make the repair easier for yourself. If you look at the drawings in the link no matter what shape the break is they alway cut away meshes so that you can complete the repair in one go. I have an old net here that is in drastic need of repair, when I get round to doing it I will take photos. TC Get some of the 4z I got from advanced netting, no need to cut holes in it, it was pure tripe. Care to elaborate..? It was brown 4z, had loads o

Your not trying to tell us some thing are you tiercel.. , seriously though this is a great opportunity for someone male or female to join a team and experience some great nights out with the nets, as smithie said we dont always hit the jackpot but when we do its a experience you wouldn't forget.

  19. Smithie and i net on some land in the dales and each season we start with 4" 4z nylon nets but as the season progresses we move to 4¼ " 4z nylon then come Xmas time were using 4 1/2 spun poly double strand the reason being that the rabbits put on a hell of a coat which makes them seem larger than normal. edited to add...i answerd this using my mob and rushed, i also accidently pressed a couple of you guys names (so dont think im stalking you.lol) i like to use 4" 4z at the begining of the season so i can catch both full grown and 3/4 grown rabbits but come october i change to 4 1/4 mes
  20. So..to sum it up, if you buy your 200yrd of net from brinded you will roughly save yourself £30 odd quid on a 100 yrd net.
