Trouble is ferreters only come in the winter farmers want it 12months of a year and arent tied to coming if your payed you have to answer to them and be there when they call .22 at night then ferret and or gas through after always does the job -

[A good few years ago i was subbing for a london council and every bait was in bags and all they did was throw the bags any where for external rats no boxs and that was that and thats a council makes you think and if you didnt know better you would think it was right

[about 10years ago my mates dog had a brace of foxs in a drain was really hammered killed the pair but his face was really cut up drain was full of silt and dog was covered in it mate took him home washed and cleaned him up etc by that night he phoned dog was pissing and crapping blood went to vet next morning had him put down it was that quick and the dog was jabbed makes you think waste of a good dog so what are you meant to do to protect your dog

[ Would never try pup at retrieving again! Sent him after a bird t'other day and by the time I got to him he'd plucked it cleanly and eaten the breast completly. well at least you know he can look after himself prepares and cooks his own dinner bloody clever

you never make him out to be great steve u never have but he does what makes you happy and you have the pup comming on which is bred right and you can expect more from in time so you have the best of both so that should be all that counts

try cleaning the inside of the collar a bit of wire wool will do the inside tends to cake up and the contact the same give it a go atb dean

had a mate turn up one day with 1 lurcher her 10 pups a spaniel 1 terrier and said here you go got a load of crap over it but its what you do for a mate or so i thought seems some mates arent what they seem hope you sort yourself out atb dean

steve some of the best foxing iv ever done has been on waste land and i still at times have a mooch we all start without permission unless lucky and as time goes by we get permission you are in a lucky position at the minute as i once was but a young lad having a harmless mooch on waste land is causing no harm to anyone and i can think of worst he could be doing if it was private land a sod of was all that needed nothing else and i think your first answer should have been more thought about as im sure as a lad a long time ago lol you had a little wander

i started with bedy/whippet and bedy/greys and they were good allrounders and the wheatonxs are good but in the last 14yrs iv had two bull xs and they are something else and good ones are a match for anything

[ =@ You've lit the fuse ha ha ha. I haven't had a border for about ten year, miss having one though. I am very lucky to be in the position to see many breeds working 3-4 times a week including black ens and one thing I have learnt is: Horses for courses. Shall definatly have some small black ens in the future, amounst other breeds including Border you better start building some kennels then steve she wont let them all in the house
