  1. I NEED a ratting permission!!! arrgh sounds so much fun!
  2. Cheers BUGG Stealthy, I have no idea what it was! seen it and thought it was a veloceraptor or a pterodactyl like off Jurassic park hahaaha craig.. cool saying mate , cheers
  3. you need to get the auto aim upgrade fitted mate, with the hw100 it comes as standard keep trying mate youl get there
  4. MY OPPINION ...? .22 for hunting .177 for targets/plinking I will still hunt with .177 as the woodpigeon I shot today found out but I think .22 is better as it does more damage so if you slightly miss your intended shot placement it will have more chance of a clean kill. but yeah .22 are more expensive so if your going to waste 500 pellets shooting metal or paper might aswell cost £7-£9 rather than £12-£14 .. saves quite a bit of dollar in the long run lol. and if you love plinking as much as me then that's a good idea!! If your wanting a S400 you will get a few more shots
  5. here you go mate.. this is what a DEAD rabbit looks like! after you shoot an alive rabbit it turns dead, then you can eat it and it tastes very nice. just thought I would jog your memory for you as you don't seem to be getting many recently Shame I only got the one, not many about, either because a few foxes were around , or the fact that my mate walks like a ELEPHANT! seen a couple of hares aswell but they were straight gone in 60 seconds! anyways the hw100kt has done it again, another standing unsupported shot of about 23-24 yards straight in the base of the ey
  6. Well as you can see I can shoot my unturned springers pretty well if I do say so myself.. the SFS tuned 98 is so easy to shoot as is the hw100, they almost shoot themselves! lol hw100kt definitely has auto aim, as that bunny just found out about an hour ago great sense of achievement tho shooting a springer well its very rewarding
  7. Cheers lads. shes a pretty nice rifle. Daz whats the kick like on that rifle mate, is it a gasram.? does it still recoil pretty bad tho? them skinny little mounts don't look right sturdy! good shot on magpie
  8. I'm 5'11 12 stone of pure beer belly, no muscle on me at all, king of the noodle arms brigade.. but I also found my old hw95k too light for me. the hw77 hw98 and hw100 I have now are all just about perfect! any lighter and the fly allover the shop and cant keep them steady! and I carry my guns around all day, the sling is not a must have, but I would recommend one, even if its just so you can put your hands in your pockets so they don't get cold. get the mate youl love it, you will get used to the weight anyway. SKoT
  9. Ayup lads, after having some late night shenanigans trying to mount the scope on a mount that didn't fit today I went to the gunshop, and they had in stock just what I required, high 1 inch 2 piece sportsmatch UK mounts, to fit the 3-9x50 AO hawke sports hd to my almost brand new, highly neglected virgin rifle the hw77k .177 so got home and mounted the scope and had about 1 hour of light left. quick rush to the permission then seen a few squirrels before I had chance to zero, hopefully bag them another day, and loads of pigeons everywhere! got to 'the tree' and set the zero, this
  10. i remember back in my early days of shooting, the rabbits at the bottom of the banking 3 yards away I had to holdover half way up the thick bottom post of the cross to get them! when I thought 25 yards was, quote, 'miles away' and my bsa supersport was 'a right gun' lol ahh nostalgia. just been to zero in and its bang on using the cross, at a set distance lol, didn't have chance to try other ranges as it got dark, but might be out tomorrow for another plink
  11. If i had some money id have it off you but im skint.. And im not swapping the hw100
  12. Yeah there not bad scopes for the money. Not as good as the panorama ev i have on the hw100kt but it will do for my 77k. Just got some mounts from wheelers in brighouse so get the scope fitted when i get home might have an hour of daylight left if im lucky to zero in the scope
  13. Nah roger £53 on uttings . £3 extra wont break the bank lol
  14. the Hawke sports hd 3-9x50 AO 30/30 arrived today to go on my hw77k, but upon trying to mount it to the 1 piece high mount there isn't enough room for the scopes on the mounts! lovely scope for £53 to go on my plinking rifle the 30/30 will bring back some nice memories of my early shooting days going to have to goto the gunshop and get some high 2 piece mounts before I can go for a plink tomorrow. BLAG!!!
  15. the whole point of liquid bait is so you can get a shot off before they run off with the lump of bait in their mouth, you must be a quick shot if you want to use solid bait
  16. My permissions first field is about yards round the corner from my house.. i dont have a car at the min so guess il either have to learn to fly on my ears or ring for a taxi!! What a load of shite
  17. well yeah moxy, couldn't find the right words lol. definitely admiration and respect. perhaps a slight jealousy aswell
  18. to me shooting my hw100kt is like playing COD or battlefield. wherever the cross is the pellet goes!! too easy! but with the springer you have to be more in tune with it, and alert to any slight mistake you make, or it will punish you! hold position, amount of gripping/ cradleing , eye relief and head position being consistent.. breathing technique, trigger control.! the list goes on its not just point and shoot! especially at longer ranges! and when you get it right and put 5 out of 5 shots all under a 5p, in a breeze, with a springer at 50yards, you feel very damn good about
  19. Id say number 1 then. Never heard of the scop in question tho
  20. I bet a lot of people are jelous of Si's shooting.. i know i was! But i learnt from him and a lot of the guys on here and put the practice in. And look at the groups i get at 50 yards with my 98! Meeting Si and talking to him on here has made me push myself to get better and i thank him. And at the next meet i will hopefully beat him And you Davy my friend. Muahahaha!!
  21. LOL its just a tool for a job! I try look after it tho might buy a cheap beech stock off a hw101 and spray it camo, to cut down the risk of scratching my beautifull walnut hw100 stock im a springer man at heart, and if I cant beat people with a springer then I don't want to beat them with a pcp
  22. He must have a good reason for it. Still sad to see him go Hope him and Davy carry on with vermin hunters TV, and putting together the amazing THL meets
