  1. Had a dusty roll once, last fag, raining, sparked her up took a good long drag, tapped it and the whole lot fell out the end. Boy did my oh so pious non smoking 'friend' laugh as struggled to restrain my grief...
  2. Mail is both po box and recently, my old folks who aren't far. I replaced all the bulbs with leds. Not run out of juice yet. Push come to shove though I could take it to my folks. Even run the engine of our defunct 4x4.
  3. Haha a real man's cigarette!
  4. I take my leave and step outside, The quiet gained soothes a frenzied mind, For shelter from the wet, Under a tree I duck. Paper out, tobacco in, about to light then, WHAT THE f**k! A raindrop hit my rollup! Bummer.
  5. Does dunnit! Thankfully that's the worst found in my water supply. Can't vouch for the cattle trough water though. That said those berkey water filters claim to remove loads of nasties including lead and heavy metals.
  6. Might be a cottage one day if I get my arse in gear. Caravan for now. Electricity - 60w Solar Array bought two years ago http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CFIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.maplin.co.uk%2F60w-solar-power-kit-223250&ei=-7HyT7m8A4nd8gOZwv3FCQ&usg=AFQjCNG-xR8OIeM_3Yb1gyd3pZD1PEGx_A&sig2=INKogiQkLuZKu5-Z0ICrNw Heat - Wood 19kg Gas Bottle for our single hob. (Mrs insists on it, i'd be happy with a rocket stove) Phone and Internet on mobile. Toilet - Bucket outside. Bury the waste in the woodland as nature
  7. Persistance mate........just keep at them and it will happen and all will fall into place I think you're right Stevo and from what I have read of Mike's he's not the type of person to let a few obstacles get in the way. Comes accross very articulate and intelegent, certainly one of the best contributers on this forum. I'm sure if he puts his mind to it he'll be able to get sorted Ahhh bless ya folks. (May be a bit overly generous in this instance!)
  8. I believe its registration with companies house and adhering to those stipulations and requirements. Director, Company Secretary, business address etc etc not overly complicated, nor too difficult. Just not quite the sort of thing a chap in the woods on his netbook nipping out between cloudbursts for a fag and to check on the chickens....really feels in a position to undertake...
  9. Only 1/4 mile round trip to a cattle trough. That's the trouble with being on the high ground. The ground drains fast too so creating ponds won't be easy.
  10. Cheers Stevo, I might have to master that patience thing people talk about!
  11. Saves me fetching Water! Rain catchment vessel #1 Catchment Vessel #2 The 'Reservoir' And finally the British Berkefeld (Berkey) 'Water Treament Works'. Makes for one mighty fine coffee and hot chocolate and super de duper de free!!!! (Filter has washable carbon ceramic elements) Hooray the rain! Now stop so I can go hunting....
  12. Cheers my friend, starting to look a bit pooey though now.... Shame, it was all going so well...
  13. As half expected, ASI ltd turned down my account application on the grounds this 'consortium' is not yet incorporated. Fair do's. Is it worth incorporating? I'm not sure... A bit much for a guy who is supposed to be living the simple life in a caravan in the woods on mobile interweb...lol
  14. Just rang ASI Ltd...waiting for the forms to be emailed to set up an account. Looks promising!
  15. The admin stuff will definitely have to be sorted, but will fall into place as things grow. OK! Have had some quotes in. We're talking pennies in savings. But look after the pennies eh! As said in other posts, on pellets your buying will be down to ethics and membership. Supporting a collaborative effort of your fellow enthusiasts. Actual prices will be released to paid up members (next job is to sort that process out!) The biggest discounts will undoubtedly be on your other bits and bobs, i.e scopes, bags, clothing, camo tape, oils, etc etc. Thanks guys for all your input so far, ha
  16. Things are storming ahead. Initially it'll be The Airgun Buyers Consortium ltd. The consensus is for a £20 membership fee the proceeds of which will cover some expenses such as a dedicated website, but mostly for floating capital investment into other products which have more room for larger savings. I.e clothing, scopes, lens covers, pellet traps etc. Pellets are seemingly used as loss leaders in order to entice guys through the door as they are the number one ongoing expense. Doesn't mean getting the very best deals is futile, it just means the savings may not be as large as expected. T
  17. So, consensus seems to be; A £20 membership fee. Membership initially limited to forum members. This may be useful until a dedicated website is up and running. Consumables, pellets and co2 bulbs of primary interest. Products to be investigated down the line; Scopes, Gunslips, (would a discounted accessory kit be in demand? You buy a gun, TABL ltd supply a bundle inc slip, scope, pellets, Lens Covers? Quality stuff, I don't like 'pap'). Pellet traps? Targets, Paper/resettable. Of course, the wide the range offered, the thinner spread the capital will be. So, in order to
  18. Absolutely! Why bother at all? Prices, one hopes. Hopefully, combined, we will have prices only open to large corporations. Special deals. Promotions. PR. Once established, manufacturers may wish to provide members with samples of their latest offerings to review. Lots of potential me thinks.
  19. Ok, things are slowly morphing into shape. Latest thoughts; Talk of selling 'shares' takes you into Financial Services Authority land. Fine for an Industrial and Provident Society Co-Operative, but lets take things slow and keep it simple. To start, I'm thinking the formation of a straight forward LTD company like 'The Airgun Buyers League Ltd'. This entity will represent its members and function as the buyer. By setting up a business account with an RFD (Stock and Tackle) I can put my money where my mouth is. I intend to place £200 into that account (possibly with £100 more a week
  20. One potential avenue is the informal establishment of something along the lines of 'The Airgun Buyers League'. Basically a collaboration of buyers. Far less paperwork, but could wield clout thereby gaining the savings people are after. The goods could be delivered to a members address. That member would then undertake the breaking down and distribution of the purchases. It could be a private affair, or utilising an existing business such as the RFD i'm in talks with. (Would need to discuss this with them) This would not present a threat to existing businesses, rather an incentive to be more
  21. http://www.airgunforum.co.uk/forums/anything-airgun-related/134045-airgunners-co-operative-ltd-2.html#post641478 You have to be careful with rrp's otherwise you could breach your contract with the distributor. No reason you can't accrue credits off future purchases though i don't think.
  22. Don't be too disheartened. I have an rfd on board and alot of support come forward from another forum im a member of. To answer your question, that's an unknown. Possibly something to be voted on?
