  1. Can see your point but they weren't over hunted in my area. I've caught one rabbit this season. That's not exactly hammering them except that the population was probably 2. So technically I've wiped out 50 percent of them ???
  2. Same in Ireland. All poisons except mice and rat poison were banned and the raptors and pine Martin are thriving since. Jackdaws used to be swarming every derelict cottage and rookerys with hundreds of nests were common. I think this is down to buzzards taking fledglings off the branchs before they fly. Before the alphachlorolose ban grey crows were killing our 10 week old pheasant poults in an open top pen. There was a splash nearby where up to 500 grey crows washed at dusk before roosting during winter. I set posion beside it with a mortar board nailed to a stake with 6 pound of mince and I
  3. Exactly. A paid pest controller is doing his job but does he give a shit about anybody else? Is he a true hunting man?
  4. Y All of them got beaten. The 2 softies now are undefeated
  5. No aggression at all. Shut up and eat your beans. I ate butter beans the other day and my god they are horrible
  6. Good point but if they ain't there you can't find em. Please don't ruin the thread when it's sensible dog fox style. It would cost me a fortune on taxis, buses and ferrys to go and meet you on a race track.
  7. Good post but the fact that the land is cleansed of disease and there isn't lads hammering the area and if fresh clean rabbits were reintroduced then why not?
  8. Everybody knows air gunners are closet homos. Just head butt them and problem sorted.???
  9. Point is those rabbits that were pests could of been caught alive and placed in an area that was void. Pest control is money based which in certain situations could still provide money for the controller if he sold them. A lot of people and game clubs would be happy to pay money to regenerate their own area. Sadly money and greed comes into the conversation instead of preservation.
  10. Just a thought but the area where I hunt has been void of rabbits for 20 years. It used to be well populated and suitable terrain so the ground should be completely disease free. I know that in certain fields rabbits thrive but go 2 fields across and they just don't like that ground. My point is that my father , grandfather and great grandfather hunted the same bogland and it was a poor area only for bord Na mona hiring people for turf , money was tight and my grandad reared 12 kids on game. What is the legality of let's say releasing 100 ferreted or lurcher caught disease free rabbits on this
  11. Katie Taylor before she was pro world champ and was on her way to Olympic gold was asked about what she thought about battering fellas in sparring and a lot of them were afraid to get in with her for fear of ridicule. Her simply reply was she had a couple of brothers good at boxing and they would soon put her in her place in the ring. A very humble lady who had no choice but to spar men because there wasn't a girl in Ireland , Europe or maybe the world that could give her a work out.
  12. I don't mean juniors. What I mean is when they mature and start hanging in certain circles with a control attitude. Mike Tyson ( rape) , mayweather ( woman beater) , Joshua ( drug dealer) Furey ( drug addict ) Some of the largest gyms out there controlled by criminals. It isn't exactly run like a chess club.? Although it is a popular sport in poor areas with tough people so that plays a part.
  13. I'd question whether boxing teaches respect and discipline because eighty percent of the ones I know are toe rags with a scumbag streak although they certainly can defend themselves. It's a bit like rugby players claiming to be gentleman while biting each other's ears, grabbing each other by the knobs and eye gouging in scrums is regular. I've seen skilled fighters goading and winding people up to strike them so they could then batter them and tell the self defence hero story.
  14. If ye want an opinion on the fight go watch the hundreds of interviews of the pro boxers , analyists and trainers instead of reading the sh1t wrote on here from wilder fans, furey fans and neutrals with zero knowledge. Ffs even the mods are talking bollocks.
  15. My mate trains the local club and says a lot of young fellas are getting disheartened and leaving the clubs from boxing in tournaments without winning medals while the girls pick them up easy enough because lack of numbers and competition if they are commited. It's embarrassing for them going home with nothing when their sister has 5 national titles on the mantle piece.?
  16. I always liked Great Danes
  17. 3 words, schooled, backyard and robbed. ??
  18. Furys body is not in the same shape when he took that shirt off as the condition he was in for Vladimir fight.
  19. Any food can be defrosted and refrozen if done when it's still fresh. Even for human consumption. The problem lies where you thaw out food leave it in fridge for a few days and then refreeze.

    Depression

Not surprising the way they just dish out prescription drugs in USA. Michael Jackson, Heath ledger , Robin Williams and Brittany Murphy to name a few.

    Depression

For healthy people maybe but those with sudden illness are down because they can no longer or might never have a pint, a walk or a fish an chips. I've seen strong minded, tough and independent people fall to pieces when they realised that now they were dependant on others. Before they would of said man up and get on with it. They used to push and demand only the best from people and have that much drive that they expected everyone to work on their terms. Indestructible until those that they thought were weak ended up spoon feeding them yougart and changing adult nappies. We are all vulnerable
