  1. There still dogs out there getting plenty done.
  2. Forgot to say father was black and tan very much size and shape of a whippet and so Is the black dog
  3. Got a little dog that has taken alot of foxes but by no means a specialist fox dog and tbh took alot more time to finish his quarry then say a bull x however his son was a fox only dog and was a hell of a dog on them catch them for fun and dispatched them very quick one was 21tts and other 22tts.
  4. Credit you you then. Very nice stamp. If they work well as they look then what more could you ask
  5. Like the look of that, how's this bred
  6. Seen few dog out of brain hunt and they were handy enough animals.
  7. Mind it was a smart thing, used to anticipate which way stuff was going to run and it worked very well for that dog
  8. Yes they can make good dogs however also seen a very well tested and seasoned started to spit foxes after it had taken them all its life at about 6 years old it didn't want them no more
  9. I love not only watching my own dogs run but also my mates dogs especially when seen them from a pup and that saluki xs was up there with the best runners i have seen and i loved watching it run. In fact the dog I'm onabout refused to run rabbits at about 3 years old.
  10. Seen a saluki xs first hand do fox regular and deer was the thing it seemed to have that extra gear for. I like a dash of saluki in a dog, can bring alot to the table.
  11. 21tts mate, just a little thing he is
  12. Saluki collie grey x beddy whippet, aye he he could give them a good spin. Remember one day he run 3 caught 2 but couldn't keep hold of the second, kept getting its back legs in his mouth and kicking away. A was thinking no way is he getting beat up off that hare, thought i was gonna have to pull the hare off him. ???
  13. Remember picking him up at 6 weeks old knowing nothing about the parents having just lost a dog a few weeks prior i took a chance at a pup i knew nothing about apart from how he was bred. What a little dog he turned out to be, from retrieving foxes, hares to tracking deer. If i could I'd do it all over again with him. Still catching bits and bobs whilst out but his lamping days are behind him
  14. That's the way I'm going with my bitch back to Wheaton bull grey.
  15. Still plenty good stuff getting bred, just alot more shite for the money
  16. Tbh i don't think prices are going to come down any time soon but i do think anything £400 and below is reasonable price for a lurcher pup. 10 years ago £150-£200 was the going price but be very lucky to get anything for that money nowadays. Got to remember welping a bitch ain't a walk in the park and there not cheap either if your feeding them a good mixed diet, wormers etc. There a lad in my town sold his lurcher pups 800 each. He sold all of them straight away. I also know of a lad who breeds a few bitches put a deposit on a house and gutted the full house with only the money
  17. Aye pups aint cheap, the time and effort that goes into them alone. I'd happily gift pups to a good dog man who i know but if i don't know you or never spoke to you before then get yet cash out!!!! Simple as that.
  18. Haha if everyone in here thought like that it would be a better site tbh.
  19. That deerhound is a flying machine seen it run a few times, covers the rough ground very well. I hate salukis couldnt give me one been around plenty of saluki xs aswell. My pal does have a good one that has taken a lot of foxes but id not own it personally, couldn't live with it, gets upset with him and sulks
  20. Wheaton bull grey x deer grey, fast strong, can't fault her.
  21. Not had one away for days but a good few hours, and always seem to catch in the most unlikely of places ?
