Had a few good nights this season and some not so good he has been catching almost everything he has ran bit there has been one or two nights where he has missed as much as he caught, could be that the dog is tired the ground to hard etc also with my dog only being 21tts he struggles Abit on heavy ground he is better on mote firmer ground

I agree. It is very small. But as said it depends if the lad is one of them who leaves his dog kennelled 24/7 or if his dogs are part of the family and regularly out and about. For me the kennel is a place to keep them safe where they can still empty themselves while I'm at work for 6 hours in the day. So there's no need for it to be huge. Lol just seen all posts saying my kennels are too small and I do agree they are a bit on small side but I am lucky enough to be able to take my dogs to work where they run around most of the day there so the only time they r in kennel is from about 6.30 a

Well tbh iv had a great week with the lurcher had a few nights lamping with the dog, not big numbers but a good few for the found and area I run but it was some of the catches he made and he caught almost every rabbit he ran and seems to work the rabbit better this season. Also had a invite ferreting with a very knowledgeable bloke who has been working lurcher for over 40 years so I met up with him went to a peice of his permission and bolted a few rabbits for the dogs and tbf my little dog didn't let the rabbit get to far before he picked them up. Iv got a small saluki whippet standing only 21tts but he is a great little dog and has put some game away he has retrived his fair share of big rabs but like been siad does lack Abit strength on staying with them

Well yesterday morning me and a pal decided to have a mooch out with the the dogs ferret and hand full of nets, wasn't much about but the terrier found a rabbit tucked up tight in some thick cover and flushed him out, however the lurchers were on the other side of the cover. Anyway they soon found its scent and tracked it back to its warren giving a strong mark so in goes the ferret. Within a few mins of silence I found the ferret at 2ft with the locater hand down the hole out comes the rabbit with the ferret attached this was also the first time out for this particular ferret and also th

Alright lads I'm wondering if anyone wants a tag along while out bushing, I can travel I own and work. Small lurcher and a lakie, problem is game round here is few and far between. I'm not no tyre kicker looking for land to jump onto just wanting a day's mooching simply for the enjoyment no going back to land etc. A good days mooching and a good bit banter about dogs.
