I reakon it will be trained to a whistle as that's how he calls his runners back with w quick whistle, it will be worked with two terriers and a couple runners and mostly hunting hedge lines and thick forestry patches so hopefully it will stay in the cover

yes but only if he sees it there has been loads of times he has been silent and just heard a rabbit squeal that he has caught but one he has something moving he gives voice, my pals terrier gives voice on hot scent where mine will hunt it silent till he sees it the he sings his head off and tag tho terriers giving voice is very exciting for me and the runners are there in a beat

Out this morning my terrier and a pals hunted some woodland with thick cover and they put rabbits out all over few days before he shifted a fox from cover and a couple deer ?

He does what is asked however like most terriers as soon as the runners make a kill he is on it within seconds and will chase with the runners which in not fussed about and when the terrier catches rabbits there still edible

Like I say I have never hunted with one and it will be trained to some degree, it's not going to be up to a gun dog standard as we will want it to hunt for its self not be sent in diffrent directions by the handler, any dog can use its nose well I havnt seen a great deal of terriers work if I'm honest but there noses are second to none and don't miss a beat

Seen a very good fox bitch was a little whimp with dogs and humans total diffrent dog in the field

Put it this way some spots I been doing for years held a bit gear then I got my terrier in and see triple due to him flushing stuff I'm in exactly the same boat - since getting my terrier I've been amazed at how much game has been there all along and I've never realised it... Just got back it had some great sport terrier put bout 13 hares up and a few rabbits ???

My little dog of 21tts had caught any amount of gear but he deffo lacks height for certain land that's for sure

Not aswell as previous years but carnt grumble still had a good season so far and enjoyed every minute of it

Tbh mate my terrier will get where pointers won't he will work any cover and my pal keeps coursing digs so when we have a day out I work the terrier to put a few up for him for them long slips plus I use my terrier for ratting ferreting bushing etc by him self or in a pack and he suits me and the way I hunt, plus he is the fastest terrier I have ever seen lol caught a few rabbits on the run and is always catching pheasantsWhat type of terrier is it Lakeland terrier mate bout 14tts and very athletic looking

Never hunted with one as I gave a terrier to find and flush game with plenty success as does one of my hunting buddy's but my other hunting buddy is getting a springer to use along side our terriers he will be getting it from a pup and it will be gifted to him by someone he knows which is a bonus and they way I'd like to see pups exchange owners. So my question what could or will a springer be able to add to our pack ? The terriers don't leave a stone unturned and have no trouble shifting stuff from cover and also catching there fair share.

My pal got a dog bred from that tramp dog good hare killer only young dog aswell be a good next season for it

Exactly pal, which part of the northeast are you from ? lads who only live few streets away from me are the same and some want me to take them out. If I realy thought they were intreated and serious about the dog game then I would but for these it's about a dog killing stuff which isn't whar it's about to me it's about getting a dog in the best possible condition working the dog to the best of it's ability lacking them full of good grub and everything in between

Seen plenty lurchers with bull in there make up do very well got a pup here with a bit bull in, hopefully he does well ?
