Yeah I had an S10 mk3 BBK with Twink silencer and that thing was the quietest rifle I've heard or not heard as the case may be. However sold it all for a springer as it bored me to tears. Each to their own though mate.

And just no soul to go with the pcp!

Awesome mate, some of them could be protecting our freedom in the future so a warm feeling knowing they did well.

Hi mate if you havnt shot for years and are coming back to the sport and have a limited budget I would recommend getting a spring powered rifle and a good scope. Most rifles are bang on accurate these days so try and get some good glass to bung on it. Plus buying a springer means you don't have the added cost of having to buy a pump or divers bottle to keep filling it. You'll also do well to start from scratch and learn to shoot better with a springer then in the future you could sell it and buy a pcp if you find your enjoying the sport and want to carry on. You could buy a nice tx20

H&N FTT .22 WEIGHT ????????????????
Mawders replied to davyt63's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
If you read my review in my blog of pellet weights you will see that falcon accuracy plus pellets in my tin alone only deviated in weight by plus or minus 0.2 of weight and most of them being just what they say on the tin. Very light pellet as well so should be good for springers. Not had chance to hit the range with them yet though because of work but have high hopes. Saw a bloke at the range shooting .177 and .22 versions of the pellet straight from the tin and was getting 1 hole groups standing as well! But that may say more about the fact he is an amazing shot! H&N FTT .22 WEIGHT ????????????????
Mawders replied to davyt63's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I will try a tin of lis and have been meaning to get some for ages! I'll push these falcons first then get some lis and see if there is any difference. You got any scales mate so you could give us done weights from a handful of them? -
H&N FTT .22 WEIGHT ????????????????
Mawders replied to davyt63's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Lads, I've had to stop using H&N FTT for now in the 95 as they really were a mixed tin. I'm current trying other brands, AA field were very accurate and consistent and will be trying the falcon accuracy plus over the next few weeks when I can get out. It's annoyed me because H&N FTT are good shaped solid pellets but let down by the mixed weights and sizes. Phil -
Nice outing dude, well done!

Boredom Leads To Weight Gain!
Mawders replied to Mawders's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks Si mate, Some interesting points you have raised and confirmed my suspiciouns with it not really mattering if the pellet weight is .1 of a difference. I can also see the benefits of washing and lubing for extreme ranges as I have read a few good articles stating the same. It's certainly all food for thought after the new year when I try some hft. Cheers Phil -
Boredom Leads To Weight Gain!
Mawders replied to Mawders's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks for the comments guys, I know it's not the most entertaining of subjects but worth trying if your bored and have access to some scales. Can't wait to see how these perform down my 95. Thanks for the heads up on the pellets and wind Elliott. -
Hey folks, Unfortunately there is a problem with my pictures showing up properly so if you want to read an article ive just published on my blog concerning pellet weights then click the following link. Brilliant Elliott I don't mind so much not getting anything when you get to see so much of nature and to watch the world go by.

Thoughs and feelings about this video ?
Mawders replied to Elmer_Fudd's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Sorry but I totally disagree with these comments! If you watch all his vids you will see his shooting technique is good, think this is his first misplaced shot and he still had the balls to show it! That deserves respect. Most people vote in favour of heart and lung shots but as mentioned in other posts I feel squizers can be double hard! No it's not perfect but who does manage a perfect shot every time? Or at least leave it in the footage for educational purposes. Like he says, nobody wants to see their game suffer and he even says it left him not very happy with himself! I've ha -
Had the same problem with my last squrrel I shot with my .177 ultra. Prefect head shot bang on zero range straight through the head but when I went to pick him up after bowling over and lying still on the floor I found he needed an extra bit of encouragement by the means of a neck break. Thus the reason I sold my ultra as I only hunt really and didn't feel comfortable in ITS abilities. This is my first hand experience with .177 Lewis I can relate to this so well! I know someone that had to put several shots into the head of a squizer to dispatch it and that was .177 Ho

You corporate whores have a lot to answer for!

Nice shooting buddy. Those long range shots always put a smile on your face don't they. Remember a Maggie I shot at the same distance as yours a few months back with the HW95. Witnessed by another forum member as well. Could do with a nice pigeon dinner today as well! Where did you dispose of the ferals mate?
