  1. Nice one Ben! I'll be getting one to soon. Can't wait for your stories out and about with it.
  2. Nicely done lads! Those rats down there are monsters!
  3. My BBK mk3 in .22 loved AA Fields the most but a very close second was rws superfields which grouped nicely and were cheaper. The sad thing is AA fields are my go to pellet as over the past year I've not owned one rifle that doesn't group really well with them and I've gone through 5 rifles in that time! Crossman and accupell are not the same pellet! They may look similar and get made in the same factory but they are NOT the same pellet.
  4. Thats looks the nuts mate love the grain is that beech and if so looks cracking ATB Aaron Agreed that looks a superb effort! I would be well chuffed with a stock like that!
  5. And as welcoming as the clap!
  6. Nah mate not been on for a while. To busy with work at the moment.
  7. Do your mounts, namely the rear one have an arrester pin in that falls into a hole ontop of the rifle action? Mark the top of the scope with a tiny bit of tipex near the scope ring, watch to see if it shifts. It's easily removable with your finger nail.
  8. Don't spray it Skot you will ruin that lovely wood! You WILL regret it lol!
  9. Skot I thought you could get a left handed tx200 just not a left handed pro sport. You might wanna look into it. To the op I would suggest you look at the HW98 if your looking at using it for targets as well, full power heavy hw goodness with a bull barrel as well which makes it more accurate. It has a lovely custom look stock and an adjustable cheek piece to get the right head scope alignment. If I ever get another break barrel it will be a HW98. Lovely accurate rifles. The tx200 is essentially the same as the 97 being a under leaver but with an even more artistic stock than the 97.
  10. All 3 rifles you mentioned are in the majorities top 5 spring piston rifle list. Go shoulder them all and see which one fits the best. All will be deadly accurate once you master them. Mawders
  11. Good quality shooting as always guys, really liked the light hearted intro on this one. Maybe you guys could put a link up to that IR lamp Davey was using, looks a good bit of kit that. Phil
  12. Yeah you can't beat a nice bit of dark wood! I might buy a second hand stock of some description cheap and practice on it then do my rifle really dark! I'm a stickler for attention to detail!
  13. The evos have gas rams don't they? I'm sure I fired a few shots of one at my local range and it was a gas ram system. I just couldn't hit the target lol! Big difference going from shooting a spring piston rifle.
  14. Ah I see, that rifle used to be very accurate and no twang if I remember rightly.
  15. Looking good mate, all I can say is, practice alot! Springers are very unforgiving when it comes to technique and hold. Once you find what works best for you though you'll be laughing and so happy you have a good quality springer. The only limit on your hunting forays or plinking forays will be how many pellets you took with you!
  16. Don't expect the power to creep up past the 10ft/lb range unless its been properly fettled with. The parts they use inside the Diana limit its power significantly. I heard the older ones were good for near the legal limit but newer ones struggle on the power front.
  17. I know you fancy a crack at the woodies so we'll have an all day session over laid wheat or barley stubble in autumn with a few more shooting friends, followed by a "fur and feather" pie and a beer. That gives you time to get used to the new gun! In the meantime, here's a 5 shot group from my old PS, shot this afternoon in my garden at 35 yards, AA fields in 4.52, no weighing or lubing! Who needs a PCP! Your on for the shoot, can't wait!! Oh and EXACTLY who needs a PCP for accuracy. Went out today with Zini and we set up one of those little metal discs you can put in supermark
  18. Cracking shooting mate, I'll never forget my 70 yard magpie with my 95 which was witnessed by a member on here. That shot will stay in the memory bank for some time to come! Nice rifle! See yours doesn't need tuning you shoot it so well!
  19. Good post si! In reality I know alot of spring rifle shooters whose opinion on spring rifles is that you spend all that money and they should be good out the box, and rightly so! If that is the case then buying an AA TX200 is more than the right choice, the proofs in the pudding how good they are. But then for the majority of people so is an out the box 97. Take huntersvermin for instance on youtube, granted David can shoot bloody well but he's getting awesome results from his out the box 97. But, then there are people that like to buy that rifle and refine it to the point its ch
  20. Trench in a weeks time I'm going to do a new post describing everything in an honest persons experience of the pro sport. They are cracking rifles let me assure you of that but I need another week so I can include some stuff. Just look out for the post mate. It will be a real eye opener. I can't say anymore at the moment though mate, apologies to everyone else that has pm'd me or asked about it on the forum, all will become clear soon. Mawders
