The arguments about halal just being so cruel really don't sit well with me, they sound an awful lot like the justification used to ban hunting with dogs...

I've seen the same thing in dogs that have moved inside after living in kennels, it usually clears up itself once they're used to the new environment though. I assume you haven't seen any improvement since you got him? I'd try upping the oil a bit and see if that makes any difference before taking him to the vet

I understand what you're saying but a Muslim would soon kick up a fuss if schools were giving their kids non halal dinners without their knowledge...there would be a huge backlash But eating non-halal meat is against their religion so I could understand being angry that they had been lied to about the meat being halal and tricked into going against their religion. As far as I'm aware there's nothing in Christianity that says they can't eat halal meat so I just don't see why they'd even give it any thought? Even weirder when atheists start getting all riled up over it.

A dangerous dose for an average sized dog is around 4oz of dark chocolate, you really don't have to worry about small amounts of milk chocolate at all.

This is what confused me, my daughter believes in santa but I wouldn't consider it her religion...same for kids that don't believe in santaYeah but its not her worldview is it, she doesnt live by her beleif in santa, but atheists worldview is they dont beleive in God, an they live by that bud. I assume you mean "a pursuit or interest followed with great devotion" (it's hard to tell with the way you've spread your answer across multiple posts) now sure that may apply to a very small minority of atheists but for the majority atheism is simply a lack of belief in God, it's not a pursuit or interest at all and certainly not one followed with "great devotion" Try again?

Failure on the wall really will the be the one thing that will totally turn his base off him for good, he needs to make real visible progress on that by the end of the year or he really is doomed IMO.
