Neems was in the car with the young lad driving round to see if they could find the bloke walking round the neighbourhood I think. Definitely scary for the parents but could it be possible he made it up to try get himself out of trouble? either way I'd be keeping a very close eye on him from now on.

But would you sell the pups off it as bred from tried & tested workers? At the end of the day until a dog has actually WORKED in real life situations for a good few years you can't call it tested. It might take a lot of dedication to train to that level but when the chips were down I know which I'd prefer to have at my side if the choice was between a sleeve-obsessed titled Schtz dog and a real-world trained and tested PPD/SecurityDog So what is a tried and tested PPD/Security dog then? A dog trained professionally in man work (not sport) that's been worked as a PPD/Security Pat

i didnt realise that. i looked into them not to long ago as i thought they would make me a decent working lurcher if crossed with a grey. i have read that there is sometimes gsd blood added to them very occasonally at times but have never seen any mention of bull blood being added to them. The KNPV dogs are still regularly outcrossed with Belgian Mals, GSDs and the odd bull, they don't give a fook about keeping things pure it's all about working ability, just how it should be they are cracking little dogs theres no doubt about that That's some chest on that dog wo

There are plenty of ' sport' dogs that will not bite if the agitator doesn't have his sleeve or suit on. Schutzhund is a points driven sport where the flashy performers win, I think that's why the Malinois scores point over the GSD because it is lighter built and more agile but for real life day to day living I need a more defence driven dog than the super high prey driven that you see in competition now.I've tried to a bit of civil agitation with a good number of sports dogs and so many of them have stood there looking dumb while I agitate but get the sleeve out and they're like demons barkin

Too much bone in one go I'd say the dog isn't chewing them down properly, stick to chicken wings and necks for it's meaty bones, maybe lamb spine too and give it the odd big bone it can't just swallow chunks of for recreation, big beef bones or similar. Good on you for making the switch and converting your old mam too is class

Best way to get a big dog that doesn't suffer with joint problems is to go to a breeder that does the full health tests on their breeding stock (hip score etc). There's a couple of ABD and Boerboel breeders over here that health test all their stock and also "work" them (just silly schutzhund stuff not real work) how many schutzhund titled dogs have you got? Don't get your back up I wasn't insulting real competive Szhutzhund but at the end of the day it's just a sport/game not real work like say a security dog or police/military K9 and most of these ABD/Boerboel breeders don'

Plenty of countries manage with always having coalitions, it's a much better way to make everyone's voice heard and with no entrenched political parties it's a lot easier to hold individual MPs to account, IMO.

Can't see the Dutch herder going the same way as gsds and mals, their breed club is top notch really focusing on working ability, they even allow certain outcrosses from time to time to bring fresh blood in (they've had a fair bit of bulldog infused over the years, where the brindle comes from).
