  1. The pure bitch had something wrong with her milk Iv looked at that and it’s not possible I wouldn’t be looking if I thought was chance of breeding my own she does everything I want just not got the pace , you need to be using a greyhound really think anything with less than half grey is going to struggle out on the hill also you can’t run more than one pup on the hill it doesn’t work people have tried and failed it don’t work
  2. That’s what you want them to do hunt on , that’s why there not as popular like I said most boys lamp Iv got a pure and 1/4 bred her id love a half x but genuinely can’t find one
  3. The vast majority they don’t suit , there’s better breeds out there for lamping dogs and most people lamp , there’s not a lot boys doing what these dogs excel at really I think that’s the problem
  4. I can’t get my hand on a halfx for love Nore money it’s a nightmare
  5. Only reason I’d just a pure grey is for a pointer first cross purely because I’d like to try one , otherwise there plenty boys around here with dogs that work the hills and quarry we’ve got, Most boys put pure hounds on the lurchers and go from there
  6. Be different hills down here big dog
  7. It’s a good base for where you want to go next
  8. He done much mush or you just looking for a pup out him
  9. If you want hill work and lamping , I’d find the hardest collie dog you can find and use that if just hill work stick a hound over it plenty packs around will let you use a dog There’s a very good pure pointer in aberdare supposed to be some animal aswell
  10. Bullx aren’t working no hill for you mind
  11. Where we live and guessing dai dogs lives in south wales valleys , a gwp half x on the hill is a real tool !
  12. Still a pure gwp on one and thank me later
  13. You won’t be far from me then use to go to the tracks with my gramper , a lot the greys were kept at my uncles place for a while
  14. I’m not ! But if there hunting you forget how big the hill is
  15. Thanks mate , Iv more or less asked everyone I know there’s one or two litters I’m keeping a eye on but I like to hear about as much planned breeding as possible good luck with your search if I hear anything il let you know
  16. I’m going to be looking for a pup next year , I put my old bitch down this month at the ripe old age of 12 so it’s time to start looking for what’s next , Id absolutely love a half x pointer greyhound if anyone is planing one of them or something with bit of hound in , or if anyone is breeding out of good day time hunting dogs not coursing , really good working home and will be looked after here , anyone planning anything give me a message or a shout few people on here now me and know I work and look after my mutts
  17. Walk walk and some more walking, keep your eye on wind direction and forget about numbers
  18. This one loves a mark nothing like a dog digging and biting at the ground on a mark
  19. Probably is a lot people driving the same cars that people associate with hunting , trunks and 4x4 you can see the dogs in the back off , if travelling get a van and change your clothes before driving home two blokes camouflaged up draw attention
  20. So only coursing bred dogs don’t switch off when out ?
  21. I did it with my old Bitch mate that’s why I’m not missing it again , I did have in back of my head this pointer x bitch would be better than her mentor , she’s a lot bigger strong and robust compared to my old bitch so I think she’s definitely the better one to line , just finding the right dog
  22. Just start becoming over dogged then , the hill work I do you don’t see what you got till there 3/4 simple as that
