    It has been estimated that Frankel will cover 130 mares in 2013 so much for best to best. Not bad at £ 125,000 a pop.

    The only interest to this lurcher owner is that, it proves inbreeding works sometimes . Frankel is bred down from the great "northern dancer" ,on both sides of pedigree.

    Hi wimza, me again now this is a good bargain. Does it come with the necessary Cannector mount which this scope needs to be attached to a rifle. If not this means another lay out of £ 35 . Yours Sherlock.

    I was showing respect for fellow members by pointing out that the said gun was well over priced, of course you would have liked me to have pointed this out quietly by PM but this would not have notified other members. I did show you respect by not using foul and abusive language which would have been appropriate.

    Do thumb holes give greater accuracy whilst shooting, ie a Hw 97 KT as apposed to a HW 97 K, and what are the advantages of thumb holes cheers Sherlock.

    The Spanish greyhound, " Galgo Espanol" is not the same breed as the English or Irish Greyhound . The Galgo has a different bone structure and a flatter type of muscle. They are also smooth and rough coated, check Galgo Espanol wiki.

    Milegajo, interesting post but why not move into the twenty first century. What I mean by this is do it digitally there some great bird call recognition sites ie RSPB and others, make some recordings of your target species and then play them back through a music playing device with loud speakers. My wife has had great success doing this from her I phone and her I pad, she,s into bird photography . You could have crows gulls pigeon rabbit hare fox and deer all on the one device.     If the bitch is a half bred collie lurcher , put a 3/4 bred collie lurcher over her . If she a terrier type lurcher cross her with a 3/4 bred terrier type lurcher. Minimum gene pool minimum wastage.

    I have seen them for sale on the net from as high as £700 for an immaculate condition, obviously they become cheaper the more damaged they are. I paid £120 for my copy about 10years ago it had a damaged spine but the pages are intact and clean. Some people on the net are breaking these old books down and selling the individual plates(pictures) for framing. Cheers Sherlock.

    Milegajo, I am an ex plumber, and noticed that you are using old lead flashing in the production of your Tomahawk pellets . May I suggest putting about a table spoon of tallow into your moulten lead , this will bring all the impurities to the top which you can skim of with your ladle. Also in the past I have melted lead in an old steel pan on the top of an electic oven as well as a gas oven. Cheers and good luck Sherlock.
