Hate recycling they can shove it. I get the reasoning behind it but I LOATH paying for it. Pay a fortune in council tax and yet get dictated too what I can and can not put in my bags and only allowed x amount of black bags blah blah. Wash this wash that before sticking in blue bags so wasting gas or leccy on hot water washing greasy stuff. Great idea that. For the amount of council tax it should all go in one bag and they can sort it if there so keen on it. Local council tip is like fort knox because I have a piddly little van I have to have a permit and only allowed so many trips etc. Some pe

The big lad's getting dog aggressive, anyone got any tips?
terryd replied to 3dumb's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I will never have another dog with bull it even though mine is only a 1/4 Chances are its sod all to do with the bull and his basically a fruit cake coupled with poor handling on my part. But going on past experiences I have never had dogs with any bull in them and never had a problem before. But I do notice he has that terrier mentality. No hanging back 0 to 100 in a second and the old eyes glaze lol -

Mine was fine until he matured and cleared two. He just seemed to have a hell of a run of bad luck prior to that and got nailed loads by random dogs out and about so that was my fault. He turned the tables one day when a bulldog ran out from behind a car and latched onto his face. I tried to kick it out way before it got hold and failed. Anyway he turned the tables in a second and we only got him off off when he let go to get a better grip From that day forward it went down hill. His eight now with cancer and to be honest it will be a sad day when he goes but a relief at the same time. Best -

Follow the above advice and stop it dead because if you don't you end up with a fit adult big dog that if worked knows how to handle its self and get even bigger for his boots. Then next thing it starts seeing other dogs on the menu then you basically have a useless dog that is a risk -
Agreed and in my case it was with my grandad bless him. Missed so much school it was unreal months at a time. Got so far behind it was pointless. Head master sat me in the office with him one day but eventually he cracked and had to go for a leak. You won't go any where will you. Oh no sir. Haha hour later after a cross country trek to stay off the roads I was out with the terrier ?

I do exactly the same. I have started getting a pair from charlies and went mad and spent about 18 quid. They seemed to last about a year or nearly

The size of these ships is beyond. From march we are allowed to take two bass a day home caught angling. I never could understand the point of that. You might catch 4 one day and nothing for the next month. No shore angler is going to make any sort of dent compared to a trawler. Size limits are a good thing though and to be honest an upper size limit would do no harm as far as bass go at least

I break into a sweat just watching that. I don't know how they do it

Parts of the country with out rabbits in just seem unnatural and bland. Very sad when you see fields that as a kid were full and now hold absolutely zero. Lovely work with the pup is it quality not quantity now a days it seems

Just brilliant ? -
The longer the gap between your last drink the easier it get and before you know it you ten years in.STay out of temptation though and keep out of pubs and the beer aisle. Keep busy out with the dogs or fishing or even take up the gym or running or some thing. Keep away from piss heads too. Once your sort it don't matter then and good luck

Thanks for the pointers folks I went the bleach route and with in 2-3 days it was pretty much all gone. Made a hell of a difference. Of course will need redoing but only took couple minutes. Just poured a bottle and done. Will do at the start of each winter from now

Good old days. My fav lamp was some head light on a handle with a door bell switch on which worked a treat. Next up was the old blue eye which was the bee's knees. Spilled battery acid had an oddly nice smell and gave a weird itch on your skin then a few days later your clothes fell apart. We are spoiled now with all the gizmos if you can afford them

No lurcher in the uk is going to live off rabbits that is for sure. Bins hand outs and sheep will be the order of the day and an early end unless it gets taken in

Can any one recommend a wifi camera that also acts as a stand alone wap to connect to so it doesnt require internet ? Preferable POE too but not essential for outdoors Thanks
-
This is it. Used to lamp with a couple of lads who had bigger speed machines. If a rabbit was a good way out we sent them or I just got positioned in-between and slipped as it got closer to the hedge. Or in the smaller rougher fields I ran mine. I just loved the size of her and many time popped under my arm for what ever reason. She weighed less than the terrier
-
Only ever had one and a lovely dog. Was no speed machine though and when we lamped I all ways ran her on the rabbits close to the hedge because that was where she came into her own and nailed them. Caught a load by sticking her head in the hedge. Could run over any rough ground as she just floated over it. Only thing she didnt float over was a low lieing electic fence one night which saw her retired .
