  1. Some great deal's out there, i have just got 2 shimano catana dx carp rod's for £55, wasn't really needing them, just couldn't miss out for that price, and before you say, my lad's alway's get my old stuff, but if you have a look about you will find, good luck. ps, please don't bid against me.
  2. If he is catching on that then good old luncheon meat and pepperami should do very well, just try not to eat it all.
  3. Welcome to the site mate, lot's to enjoy on here.
  4. I have heard of a few people taking there carp or pike gear down the beach and catching a few, they can't cast 5-6oz lead's, but can get a 3-4oz lead a long way and i think with the tide moving it around, it cover's more ground, and they do alright, it would be better with the proper tackle but if you only go every blue moon, why spend money.
  5. I won't feel so bad now when i miss a run in the winter, brilliant reason.
  6. Bet the both of you had a good laugh, he alway's seem's to be cracking joke's and having a laugh.
  7. Look's a lovely place malt, i wouldn't care whether i caught or not.
  8. Year's ago i mixed up some pedigree chum original tin meat with brown crumb, put in the blender, quick blast and your done, i thought it would be great for carp, couldn't stop catching tench, using corn or maggot as hookbait, that was in stanley park that bull.
  9. Never been to lathom bull, heard a fair bit about the place but just never been, the night fishing sound's good, we were supposed to go last summer but never did, iv'e been doing a bit of lure fishing on the canal, plenty of perch and jack's, wouldn't mind a decent perch or two, i have never had a double figure pike from the canal just down the road from me, but i have seen plenty of them, so i am having ago, slow walk along and then a slow walk back, about 4 - 6 hour's depending how you feel, getting into this lure fishing now.
  10. tried to put pic's up
  11. Just stocked up on plenty of lure's, spinner's and spoon's, going to fish for pike through the summer, never done it before, usually just fish for them in the winter, but a few of the lad's are having ago, so i am going to aswell, love lure fishing, never fished popper's before, look forward to it, do any of you carry on pike fishing in the summer.
  12. Would be great to bend into something like that, but as he said, if you use them tactic's, if it goes, it's got to be big.
  13. Cop for that, glad the fcuker got caught, don't usually like to see people get nicked, but this one is different.
  14. Went up to mescar lake, by maghull, good place to fill your boot's.
  15. I don't pole fish myself, but 18 elastic is really powerful, i thought that was for double figure carp, but i am not sure.
  16. Been fishing for the last two day's and i really have the bug for it, coarse fishing a local lake, mainly carp, with my two lad's, nothing big, average around 5 - 6lb, best was a 12lb common for my youngest, he is 15 and it's his new pb, really two great day's spent with my lad's, you can't beat it, i feel like i have been beat, knackerd.
  17. I think we all just don't want to think of the dog getting used as a pup machine, and that selling her in season could attract that sort of person, hopefully someone genuine will get her and treat her well, but a bitch in season, can be a pain in the arse, then again it not the bitch it's the dog's that are a pain, going by a mate's set up.
