Everybody's been wronged by everybody else at some point, history's a big place.. Where do you draw a line? Vikings, Romans, Celts, Gaels, Europeans, Moors, Saracens, Goths, Vandals, Christians, Muslims, British, French, Spanish, Dutch, Arabs, Turks, Germans, Americans, etc.. Why are some historoical 'wrongs' seen as more wrong than others? The past is there to be learned from, folk should be looking forward and moving on, instead of looking back trying to find a reason and someone else to blame for their problems in the here and now.. I had barbecued eel once. Nice firm meat that tasted a bit....fishy! I think it's the look of them jellied in their own slime that's offputting, but I'm sure they taste similar,.

That's good. Didn't know if big brother was watching me worldwide or not. As we obviously have the same name, they were probably trying to work out if I was his dad or his slightly older brother.

Does anyone know if holding a FAC is noted on your passport? Only reason I ask is 5 of us went to Germany for the weekend and the guy at passport control did a double take at mine and my son's passports on the way into Germany and on the way out, but no-one elses.

Hmmm. I presume it's because the gun cabinet is a lot harder to get into than a small safe? I just went the separate safe route because the internal ones are really small. Even with the internal safe, the ammo is still technically separate from the guns.

I can't see any legal reason why you couldn't do that, but I am inclined to think that if you were (god forbid) burgled, if someone got into your small safe, they would then have the keys to your gun cabinet. It would probably make more sense to keep all 3 separate. Ask your FEO for a definite answer.

Rifle cabinets are deeper front to back to accommodate a scope on the rifle. I use Brattonsound myself, but I'm sure there are many others just as good. You will need separate storage for ammo. My FEO allows any safe, not specifically an ammo one, as long as it is securely bolted to the wall. What you do with the keys is your business, as long as no-one else knows where they are and doesn't have access to them under any circumstances. The auction site occasionally has second hand ones but they still seem to fetch fair money. Hope this helps.
