  1. If he charges £100 quid I think I would rather have my stock dipped for about £60.00! Plus if he can turn a stock around in a week then it dont seem feasable he takes hours to do one?. Just saying.
  2. I have a brand new unused filling hose £14.00 posted. 300m/m long, 1/8 BSP female fittings. Best fittings price £17.50 plus postage. Now Sold.
  3. Sounds like you have piece of foreign matter under the firing valve head. next time you try to fill it is it leaking from the muzzle? if not then the fault could be a blown seal. If air is escaping from the muzzle then grit stopping valve closure is the fault.
  4. A real bad scammer is Mark Hoodless of Nottingham hese done plenty of people (My son included for £280.00) Google his name and see, how he escapes jail is a wonder, the Notts police seem to ignore the dozens of complaints from people who,ve been done, another slimeball who wants attending to.
  5. Hiya Bud, I cant remember but its for the Webley rifle that was made by Prestige who made the Black Cat, and the Kub, etc, It has a beautifull grain in it and is fitted with a adjustible pad, only got a tiny dink on the left hand forearm. If I could have downloaded the picture it would have gone straight away. Cheers, Ron. Now Sold.

  7. Dave as said by Rob, remove the stop plate I had a R10 in for repair due to the same fault I found the owner had somehow partially half loaded a pellet into the breech end so it was stopping the mag from being removed. If you have a cleaning rod you could try pushing it back from the muzzle in to the mag, If not as said remove the plate and shear the pellet off.
  8. I use a local courier for next day delivery and they charged me £16.20 in January when I sold a BSA R10 to a chap up North in Hornsea. I believe that Post Offices should send such parcels but maybe they have changed their rules lately.
  9. Ha, Ha, Ha, Jeeze Ime having a bad week guys, I cant even say I was drunk, I must admit the follow up drugs I am on following yet another Op is making me bloody forgetfull, and makes me very short tempered lately. Whenever I say sumot daft there is no malice in me. for the record I am a old T**T of 73. as said by Andy I have been in Airgun shooting, Tuning, development for over 55 years!.In truth I dont like killing stuff nowadays, I have allways been more interested in modifying, improving, just working on airweapons.
  10. Hey flow mate, 4 tins of pellets for 50 bunnies!! Jeeze, thats only 500 pellets for each rabbit!! sounds like my kind of shooting!!
  11. I KNOW, FEELING FOOLISH!! NOW. :icon_redface: :icon_eek:
  12. Thanks for what banned texts mean. I have put my foot in my mouth in my reply to Tom, and I apologise for my ignorance.
  13. Hiya young tom, on your third post on the 24th June, in replying to Busters comment part of your letter said (banned Text) which looked as if you had made a rude or offensive reply which had been removed by the mods. dont take every thing so serious as banter amongst members isnt made in a serious manner.
  14. Arh well,no comeback from the asker of this thread, First he makes rude comment to Buster who made genuine attempt to help him, (luckily removed by the mods) then totally ignores further posts to help him?. Hrrm, "Yoof of today?) if he hasent got a clue about what is required to further his school project? then hese just wasting everyones time in trying to help him.
  15. You are correct Mat, As a time served Centre Lathe turner I am aware of the problems encounted with barrels, any good CLturners would of course screw it after mounting it on centres hence my advice not to have it done with a die. as for having it proofed you made the first reference to having your barrel done! in your first reply?.
  16. I forgot to say that you should check if the diameter of your barrel is .500. (1/2 inch before you go any further because if its smaller you will be handicapped by the amount of moderators available is smaller thread sizes. I am not sure but if my memory is correct your barrel could be a smaller diameter,if so you could have it stepped down to fit the Air Arms normal moderator which is secured by a grub screw. instead of the usual 1/2 " unf threaded moderators.
  17. Hrrm, I dont know did you?. That picture of your St bernard dog looks like hese anorexic
  18. If you can remove the barrel there must be dozens of small engineering companies in your area who would do the work for £20 to £25 pounds being sub 12 fpe you dont have to pay to have it proofed ask for a centre lathe turner to do it. dont agree that it is cut with a die as that isnt allways going to be true to the bore.
  19. Of course you was Rob. Would you lie to us? of course not.
  20. When asking for info please be more specific with your request.their are many, many types of O rings made for different applications. Rubber ones both hard and soft, then Urethane,Polyacrylate, Neoprene, Butyl, Hypalon, Fluosillicone, and many more, some to work in high temperature, some in freezing, IE-Co2 pressure systems. unless you give more info of your project then its all guesswork for the members on here to help you.
  21. Hey Steve, Like you I decided to get another springer to play about with instead of having to keep a shot count with a PC so I got myself a .177 Stoeger X20 Suppressor Break barrel Weighs 7LB unscoped, locks up like a Rolls Royce, A terrible long second pull on the trigger, Easilly cured by fitting a Welsh Willy replacement or do as I did (drilled and tapped the existing trigger to 3m/m fitted a grub screw and nut) nice light short travel now, Gun comes with a excellent 3 X 9 X40 PA scope and mounts. cost me £159.00 from SFS, other dealers sell the same set up from £150 to £199. eng
  22. Superb rifle Steve, Only drawback was very heavy when scoped. not nice to shoot at UK power levels very spongy kind of feeling on firing but acurate. I got rid of mine years ago, must be worth a bit nowadays for a mint one.
  23. Hiya Bud, I have a .177 Stoeger with the built in moderator and its a excellent springer considering its made in China, the only weak part is the extremely long, hard trigger pull which comes as standard. it can be improved by replacing it with a USA made trigger replacement or one made in Wales by a guy called Welsh Willey. both have grub screws to reduce travel and weight of pull to make the X20 a brilliant gun for the money. A big plus is the Branded 3X9X40 scope and mounts that come with it.which has excellent clarity. these guns can be obtained from several retailers from £150.00 to £199
