i have read most a them as a youngster, only 2 i remember to be any good were the fell terrier, an that complete book of lurchers an longdogs yins, all the rest were a bit borin as i remember them

Thats it...i was reading all about some mush from Cheshire in the 1700,s who invented it i like the idea of using water to pump water rather than the easy way out with electric i think id go with the submersible pump, that small cost will probs mean the job gets doner far quicker, but im positive when i was playing about with 1, the guy who owned it said lots of folk make them themselves, an they are easy to build an run, but as i said it was a long time ago

im sure with the ram pump it uses water coming down to make water go up if that makes sense, i done a few bits of maintenance on 1 when i was doing engineering, but that was yonks ago , why not just use the submersible pump, seeing as you know a bit about them

bulldog do a round mouth near on identical to that, thats what i use for ferretin, dont half shift soil compared to them mini or micro spades an them mini's keep breaking an they aint as big as the other bigger round mouthed bulldog spades out there

Er We dig with these all day mate don't trie your arms at all,there fibreglass shafts so there nice and light.i haven't got any pictures at the minute mate in the camera I'm off out tonight so I'll put a few up in the monrning,ive got grafts round mouths,square shovels that are about 7 inches at the front and tapers out wards as they go back,back filling shovels and fibreglass bars with a good sharp steel point on the end.I'll lit some pics up in the morning mate. where are you an how much you for the fibre light roundmouths

fook the cheap set ups, if you serious get a striker an battery, if you dont, you will buy summat else an end up buying a striker at a later date, as far as batterys go id go for the lithium, expensive but a nice bit of kit an i wouldnae be without mine
