  1. yes it will look at the pic in my profile this is a ultra with a 325mm air cylinder on and its in a tac scorpion stock
  2. XTX AIR did the reg and tune ,but what i should of done , got Carl to do the whole lot would of been about £100 cheaper , live and learn This is what Carl said on another post To do a full tune to a ultra SE that is fitting a regulator fitting a larger air cylinder replacing the complete hammer system replacing the hammer spring guide doing other work recrowning the barrel porting the barrel throat and fitting a shroud silencer in anodized black alluminium is £180 i also do full carbon fibre shroud silencers in gloss or matt these on there own are £75 but if i do the full tune i d
  3. Daystates quality has been going downhill over a number of years now. the same as bsa. there quality is bad. the thing i do not understand is if they are going to make a rifle why not make it correct in the first place. years ago if you bought a bsa rifle you would hand it down to your son he would do the same and it just kept working. then bowket came along. if you buy a bsa pcp rifle now it has to go back to bowket for a blue print. and the rifle isnt a week old.bowket says its because bsa didnt make the rifle how he designed it. so what happened to the bsa S10 ? the hornet ? the scorpion ?
  4. Toby63 To do a full tune to a ultra SE that is fitting a regulator fitting a larger air cylinder replacing the complete hammer system replacing the hammer spring guide doing other work recrowning the barrel porting the barrel throat and fitting a shroud silencer in anodized black alluminium is £180 i also do full carbon fibre shroud silencers in gloss or matt these on there own are £75 but if i do the full tune i do these along with the tune for £220 with a 325mm air cylinder and the full tune you can expect around 100 to 115 consistant shots.
  5. The ultra is a good rifle straight out the box. the main problem with the ultra is the shot count more so if its a .177 on a good day you may see 35 ish shots after that its on its way down. but once worked on the rifle is easily capable of going against rifles costing much more. the main work i do with ultras is fit a larger air cylinder and a regulator. valve bounce is also a problem. that needs sorting. but there again all the bsa rifles use the same system so all have valve bounce. once that is adressed the ultra is as good a rifle as you can get.
  6. most of the R10s like larger head dia pellets if its a .177 then use 4.52 head size. try air arms diabolo express or jsb. the older mag is not good the pellets seem to jump backwards. this makes the bolt hard to push the pellet into bore of rifle so you can guarrantee it will not shoot the same as the first pellet. what i have done in the past with rifles that come in to me for work is cut another o ring groove in the rotor of the mag this solves the problems with older mags. for some reason the .22 does not have so many mag issues.
  7. Bsa never made a .20 barrel. you would have to use another make like loather walther. i have done this conversion on a number of single shot ultras. but a multi shot means you need to have a .177 mag machined the mags are around £39 then there is the machining cost of the mag and barrel cost and probe cost barrel blank is around £105 by time your finished you wont be far from £200
  8. if you cant get hold of wonky donkey give me a shout i often see him and i can ask him to log on
  9. eh? He who must not be named! Seems that the BBS does not like certain names appearing as it affects the profits of their friends or themselves! ah, I gets ya cant be arsed reading the bbs to find out who their preferred tuners are. if you think the bbs site is bad you should try the theoben rapid site. the preferred tuners there are not even registered as rfd. seems that dont matter on that site...
  10. the reason sfs are against regs is because they tune spring guns pcp are not tony strong point thats for sure you dont hear much about the new sfs tuned pcp ?
  11. you can black it with heat it will come out sort of blue black purple colour there is 2 sorts of plate one has just 1 screw holding it on the other has 2 screws
  12. his name is dave price he lives very close to me he is very good with spring guns i only do pcp rifles but i would use dave for springers if i had a problem
  13. i have had rifles come in to us to be put right. people buy a diy reg fit it and then get problems one problem is a reg will reduce pressure in the firing chamber and as a result it often needs a better return spring on the valve because the hammer spring slowly pushes the valve of its seat. also the standared hammer spring will be far to strong for a regulated gun so it will keep the valve open long wasting air
  14. we have had a number of hw100 in over the past couple of months with a similar problem take the action out of the stock and you will see a little hole by the back screw that holds the action into the stock put a little oil over the hole and see if it bubbles. if it does then the seals onthe reg are leaking the seals on the reg are very thin
  15. semi reg is like a falcon very small airgap around the firing valve so regs the amount of air that is passing out into the barrel but as air pressure dropps in main cylinder they do not work as well. full reg is a device that changes the air pressure say from 3000psi to 800 psi in .22 it will then have the same firing pressure until the air in the gun is less than 800 psi
  16. where are you ? give a guy called carl garbett a call he know more about precharged guns than anybody i know he has worked on all most all precharged guns and allso makes a range of his own guns very good with daystates and fitting regs to the older midas etc his number is 07778295542 you may need to leave a message because if he is working on a gun he does not all ways answer his phone
  17. we normaly use a 17 cleaning rod and a small section of wooden dowel in front of the rod no brush on the rod then gently tap the end of the rod and the pellets will come out it helps to spray some wd in the barrel first as it lubes the pellets on there way out easy when you know how
  18. this is one i made a couple of years ago forgot to put the charge cap back on before i took the pic air tube is 45 mm dia mat silver and 20 inch long fully silenced overbarrel 7 shot mag at present it is 56ftlbs
  19. polishing the hammer will do not much at all as the 410 runs on a bushing not on the outside dia of the hammer short stroking the gun will make it shoot better all our target guns have a stroke of just 3mm but as your gun is not reged it will need a heavy spring to overcome the air pressure on full charge and when the gun runs low on air it will keep the valve open to long and accurcy will suffer so will the number of shots you get from gun my advice is to reg the gun first then start messing with the stroke of the hammer etc port size is allso important the idea is to get t
  20. hi i have made several over barrel silencer and muzzle suppressors for the super 10s over the years we used to make the air cylinders for stalker and we have wworked customised many bsa over the years carl airtech rifles
  21. unless the shop or company are very confident and have the tools to work on a reg and set up the gun then send it back to the manufactures the hw 100 reg is built into the main block and is not one of the easiest to set up after stripping and rebuilding the reg how did they test it ???? we use a guage that we but onto the block to see what pressure the reg is set at and to see if it repeats and stopes at same pressure every time if you still have problems give us a shout i have probably more knolede on reged guns than many so called gun dealers regards carl ai
  22. hi i have many lathes in our workshop but looking at what you intend to do is just a extension to the barrel and the gains you will get are not worth spending your money on in our opinion you should do away with the tube that has the small holes in when i first started making silencers i went down the same road as you but soon changed our disign and now our silencers are one of the best on the market airgun rimfire and centre fire with a silencer the best way to go is making the baffle hole as close to bullet or pellet dia as you can you will find that making it like that wi
  23. hi the webley axsor was made for webley air rifles by a company in sweden called axor hence the name webley axsor as was the gun logun axsor almost the same gun except the one has a 8 shot and the other is a 7 shot firing valve is identical on both
