    Managed a few hours between the bad weather, first rabbit 35 yards but onset of mixy so into a hedge. Next 2 were off the lamp, 30yards for the second. 3rd was a bonus on the way back to the car and had a last shine of the lamp, picked up 2 more rabbits but missed the first shot and it bolted. His mate however needed a second look and another 30yarder through it's eye. The shroud did itself proud being just as effective in the quiet of night. Not a bad night for saying it was only a half hearted outing. Excuse the pics new phone and the cameras crap.

    You can also try Tench if you can get hold of him, he's the guy who designed the reg XTX and Phil fits. So you've got a pretty good choice.

    trouble with Vaseline is like grease particles stick to it. Best to stick to wipes or a light oil.

    It isn't any longer as it is basically an R10 shroud with new internals.

    HW mods also work well with most air rifles.

    Will try and bang some up but it doesn't look ant different from your normal R10 shroud. It's the internals that do the work.

    As the title say's who uses these in .22 and what are your thoughts on them.

    I was really skeptical at first but thought what the hell. Same price as a normal shroud with the benefit of it actually working. You need an Ultra length screw cut barrel for it to be effective though as obviously the extra space is for the internals. Phil also uses John Bowketts blow back washer .Action is the loudest thing now,

    Got the shroud yesterday for my R10 from Phil and I must say, WOW. Don't know how he got the standard shroud to be as quiet as a HW mod and to be honest don't care. I have a HUUB shroud but due to the dimensions can't use it with my existing mounts. The best thing about Phil's is that it keeps the looks that make the R10 so sexy. Anyone who is considering a fully functional shroud for there R10 or Ultra should give this one a go.
