  1. I would say that if one brother wanted an FAC and the other didn't, then the brother who wants it, pays for both. Then if the other brother starts using the FAC, he just pays the brother back. Can be done, just a bit of a fag... Atb, BB
  2. I write mine on one of the Thames Valley recommended forms they sent with my certs. I photocopied it so I had a few and keep all my firearms info in a folder. I scan the form in and email it that way, along with a scanned copy of my SGC/FAC with it on the bottom. This way I have hard copies of everything, and email versions. I get all my permission written as two letters and signed too. That way my land owners hold a copy, and a copy goes into my folder. Then all I do is put the folder in the car before I go out and people can question me about anything and I have proof... Atb, BB
  3. Aye. And when it goes right. Nets down as the sun is rising, grass still crisp with frost. Clean bolts, nice pursing after a short rumble. No digs, no squeals of a pinned rabbit, no ferrets messing around. Just being out is good enough for me though. exactly the same as me, thats what i would of said ! plus hearing the thump thump of the rabbit ! Not seeing chavvy townies playing on their xboxs, talking about how many 14 year old girls they have gotten pregnant does it for me. Like minded people, no f*ck wits about to ruin your day. Quiet. Peaceful. I sometimes think that I'm not like o

  5. Do brown chickens lay better eggs than white ones? Its personal preference, size, enthusiasm and your ferreting style that decides how good a worker is...
  6. Aye, but lead poisoning isn't cyanide poisoning. It takes a few years in humans, and waterfowl to die of it. Was wondering if it was similar for stinkers or if they would just be fine because of the way they eat. Who mentioned cyanide? LOL Was making a point that lead takes years to kill, but cyanide can do it in days or minutes.

  8. I shoot a fair few rabbits with the shotty on one of my permissions and was wondering what you guys do with them? Are stinkers likely to eat the shot or will it be a case of because they're smaller animals that the shot is avoided unlike a dog who is taking bigger bites? Do you use them for another purpose entirely? I get alot of pigeons that I take the breasts off and will give them the carcass, but I'm always aware of the fact that theres lead in there... Opinions?
  9. hessian sacking will kill rabbits if they chew on it, boxes are best.Elaborate? Hessian material is woven jute fibres. Jute being made a non toxic, non poisonous set of plant fibres in some cases or the jute plant itself which is also not harmful, I would of said they could chew it fine... As far as I am aware, they continue to make them without treating them with anything so they are biodegradable...
  10. Thats it. Admit to something illegal on a public forum
  11. Cat carriers? Dog cage? Let them run around the car? Hessian sack? Tie a brick to their leg? Pheasant carrier? Use your noggin... Shouldnt be too hard to work out. Just dont re-realise into the wild. Its illegal.
  12. Hunters are festival goers wellies. Water proof but wank.
  13. Aigle Parcours with zips. Had mine 3 years now. Wear them very regularly. Almost daily. Love them to bits. Nice and warm, decent price, and hold together well. I give mine a fair bit of shit in the brambles etc.
  14. I use a small piece of electrical tape on the collar. Different colours of tape. Holds the excess tab on the end of collar down too.
  15. I find heavier nets for purse netting are better as they dont snag, provided you are setting them proper. Long nets should be lighter as they are used to tangle the rabbits limbs, and not actually purse around them. Dont buy until you've been out. Then you actually get an understanding of what your requirements are, instead of being told by people. You decide what to take. Some just take a ferret and a dog, nothing else, then others have nets, dogs, locators and a spade that meant they got a second mortage. Decide what you want. Numbers, easy set, or watch the dog run?
  16. Rage. When I needed one, nobody had one. Now I have one, bought new for 160, someone has one. Sods law.
  17. Make sure you add your ' to your pm's. Lol. His pms might be something you want to avoid.
  18. Nott a great deal of energy in Day olds compared to the eggs. Fine for your birds, but might as well give ferrets the egg.
  19. As above. Alpha feast. Mine is cheap in the local pet farm shop and keeps them going when mixed with eggs, rabbit and other meats.
