    Thanks for your honest answers and insight Samurai. like I said Ive only seen this one in the flesh and it made me curious. This should be the place to come to get answers and have a chat about things,and its sad that that can rarely happen. Thanks again.

    Whats a rabbit weigh about 3lb? What do Italian greys weigh,under 3lb?I doubt that. Ive had tiny russells catch and kill rabbits. Apart from that why should Samurai lie about it. He didnt actually make any claims about the dog catching rabbits,I asked him a direct question about it. I'm sorry for being pessimistic towards your idea.. I'm sure that with the right nurture you'd get a decent rabbiting dog mate. hopefully we'll see plenty of pictures of what he/she gets in the future! BBB Please read thread..     The one I saw was moving too much to get cold,but I dont know what it would be like say standing around waiting for ferrets to bolt a rabbit.

Me too.. would you have paul , a bullxgreyxsaluki xgrey line bred, that bit of saluki i reckon deff gets a more of a alround type hunting dog than just a straight pit x grey .!! sounds like you were never 100% about the ones youve had,but believe me mate,you get the right ones you will realise there aint no point tinkering.

    do these little dogs hunt/catch does anybody know? I saw one the other day,it looked just like a small whippet and it made me think they must of crossed that into kc whippets to smarten them up. The man who owned it didnt go rabbiting but he did say they will run all day.

    I seen a bloke confront bluck about this what FD is on about at a country fair where bluck had a stall. The man was getting quite irate about it,but unfortunately Bluck knocked the man clean out with a single punch..

    Some split ears are very hard to heal and sometimes just harden off has the dog gets older. I had a lurcher once who was beddy/whippet grey with bit of collie. He had a terrible weakness for split ears that just would not heal. His sire was the same I believe. Hydrogen peroxide is a mild disinfectant anti septic. You can use it to clean dogs teeth or dye your hair blonde. I would try Epsom salts. It draws the red blood cells to the surface. Mix with hot water to dissolve crystals and use cotton wool to squeeze out over the wound. Bathe at least twice a day,but the more the better..Manuka honey
