  1. Exactly one bad experiance down a burrow can ruin a great worker, so they need to be able to fight back at least!
  2. Hi thanks for the info it was helpfull and your an expert compared to me haha, i think you are right in that the triger grub screws have worked loose over time, he has obviously broke the loctite seal and then he wound them out and now they have wound out too far!, so i can adjust them and wind them in abit or in the long run will it be easier to wind them right out and re loctite them? Thanks for your help Ben.
  3. Had my tx for around 6 weeks now, the pervious owner said he had adjusted the trigger, and today it seemed to play up in the fact that i took the safety off and took up the first stage and then nothing, no feel in the trigger like it had gone limp and the saftey automaticaly re applied? this happend twice? and have not risked it anymore, i will look into it tomorow dose it just need a proper trigger tune and the bolts re loctite in, or is there a diff reason for this happening, till now it has been fine, could the bolts be loosening off after alot of use these past weeks? Many Thanks Ben.
  4. Never muzzled mine, like sending you into a boxing ring with hands tied behind your back.
  5. Thats the best, two weeks and then you can deffinately be safe in looking. Atb
  6. Thats a serious looking bit of kit, nice shot! Atb Ben.
  7. Yeah they do kick abit, all the nerves etc, but your right give then a while to come completley out, dont fancy digging them out
  8. Nice kit there and a nice bag of rabbits!
  9. Well i should think there was about another 10 -15 Circling and roosting in the distance so will have another pop again at the weekend and try to take the camera along this time! Atb
  10. Yeah they are a great rifle cant praise it enough, more the rifle than me sometimes i think!, the funny thing is when one was shot i stayed in cover and left it there, this seemed to attract more and more as it went on, to greedy and nosey for there own good, also the TX is not as loud as it seems which helped! Any tips for the conneys? Many Thanks.
  11. Went out again last night, and thanks to the tips on the baiting, it worked well, went out about 8pm and gave up at 9 as it was hammering it down, but one of the best nights i have had yet, makes me wornder why i had never had a .177 before, seems easier to work out the holdover etc, than with a .22 but thats my opinnion, anyway the conneys are getting bigger in number, so any tips would be great, as far as i can guess set up in cover around 30yrds away from the well used burrows i ferreted in the winter around sundown and so on? Many Thanks Ben.
  12. I remeber on tour we used to tip a big old ammo tin on its side and light a fire beneath it, shut the lid and that worked well, i find it good fun finding ways to overcome and adapt! The meal looks good!. Atb
  13. Like the others have said realy, if your baging four wood pidgeons then you can clearly shoot well enought to bag rabbits, but lamping is a whole diif thing, judging ranges etc it all takes time, alot of paper punching always helps me, printing out life size rabbits on the printer marking 1" dots on there head then putting them out at diff ranges and making sure you get a near perfect average at hitting the kill zone and working out what ranges you are comfortalbe with shooting at, then even try that at night and see how you get on! Atb. Atb
  14. Or you could do both, not like you can slip a lurcher on a Pidgeon!
  15. Second that, the BSA Springers a know where near as good as they used to be! Atb.
  16. Only place i know anywhere near are in Banbury, Banbury gunsmiths.
  17. Yes, i took the dogs for a walk tonight and worked out where im going to do it, there is a warter hole for the sheep 20 yrd from a hedge row where the crows anfg around about 7 at night so i will bait it around that area and set up in the corner of the hedge rows about 35 yrds away, just waiting for the sheep to move to the next feild for peace of mind, looking forward to it! Normaly i would say im a ferretig man but i am enjoying shooting with the tx just as much to be honnest!. Cheers guys
  18. Thats true, when one dose drop then dont vanish, they just cirlce around too nosey for their own good!
  19. No never baited them, all the rabbits go to the ferrets, but will give that a shot, i just look for them all roosting up around 8pm and pick the closet ones off, but your right can get any closer than around 40yrds, and then you have to aim up the tree, will deff have a go at baiting them though! Thanks.
  20. Alot of paper punching helps me i think, also using the knots in trees as aim points and working the aims points at diff angles and distances and then atleast when i have the corvid in the sights i have the confidence to take the head shots. but i think crows and rooks are easier than pidgeons, pidgeons seem to be more switched on. What are anybody elses tips? Atb
  21. Cheers lads, and yes cant fault the Tx hopefully many more corvids and coneys to come atb Ben.
  22. Yes i will look into to superfeilds, its only had JSB through it and seems to be fine with them but now the weather is getting better i shall get out and see if i can find a better pellet, my other rifles are all on RWS so will give it a shot, and your right far cheaper than JSB. Atb
  23. Thanks, its a .177 and i am using JSB Exact.
  24. Took the TX out last night, First dry day in ages spent a while paper punching working out aim points at certain distances than finished off with abit of rook shooting, cant praise the TX200 enough pushing shots out to 40 yrds and the pellets landing exactly where you placed the aim point! This rifle realy give you the confidence in your shots! Many Thanks.
