  1. beware of what you wish for, the hunts were willing to sell terrier work down the river as long as they were allowed to continue to hunt if they went to ground they were willing to give them best, the now at least there are ways to hunt and still stay safe, if repealed a new bill will be introduced with amendments that may stop all dog work.
  2. i was listening to an mp been interviewed i think he was a tory he said alex salmond is regarded as one of the shrewedest operators across europe, salmond knows that two thirds of scots dont want to leave the union for many reasons some dont want to change to the euro some believe that staying in the union gives them more strength to resist issues forced on them by europe and some are just comfortable and dont like change of any kind, the one thing that will happen and i think salmond knows it and is in fact really aiming for it is that scotland will get much more power to run their own affair
  3. in reply to the question yes it is fecked and it will only get worse, we tried twenty nine spots over the weekend without success, we have been out a good few times in the last month and only scoring the once and that was a four hour round trip for a half hour dig. i'm running on two pups for next year and i'm starting to wonder if its going to be worth it, sorry to sound so morbid but its soul destroying its definatly the worst season in over two decades for me.
  4. your supposed to have a gun present at a dig as its the only legal way to kill the fox so a lot of lads would be as well packing in the terriers if they took away our right to own guns.
  5. so are mine mate and theres decades of working stuff in them so if your fella has the minerals he will be fine
  6. got a couple bigger than that ones five year old and does well others nine months and i hope has stopped growing.
  7. maybe it was horrid to you but to your sister it wasnt and werent you the one that was all upset when someone was going to take your dogs
  8. why a bad idea to use tiles on the ground
  9. remember the horsey people were prepared to give up the terrier work and to let the use of lurchers on foxes be banned along with coursing so be careful what you ask for
  10. golden wonder ready salted or cheese and onion.
  11. now he 's been granted his boxing license back will he be able to make any sort of impact or will the years out be to much, i am assuming he keeps his head and concentrates on boxing.
  12. morris had a lot of digging out of them whatever they were, heavy dogs they were well over the 20ib mark.
  13. how much sealy was in jt or morris's dogs, according to peter tulip(j m) he traced the line they were using and it was just a mix of terriers including a bit of dashund, in a vid of the fm jimmy was interviewed and said the dogs he had looked like the ones on lucas'es book.
  14. yes it would gnash, agree with you about the outcome as i know ricky very very well and although he is a dedicated young man and really has his feet on the ground i feel he has reached his limit where as young mitchell at his best or i should say the best i have seen on tv seems to have a bit more in the tank, i know his second last fight he was well beaten but i just have the feeling something was far wrong with the lad which he proved in his last fight. cheers.
  15. read in the local papers that kevin mitchell is calling out ricky burns if it happens what would the outcome be.
  16. hard to beat, emmerdyke farm, corngaytion street and rearenders.

  18. audley harrison was on breakfast tv and said he would take fury as the only other guy coming along was david price and he had other fights lined up.
  19. terrible advert for boxing both in and out the ring.
  20. can be ten yr old if not given chances it will not know its trade it about the amount of time spent at earths not the age of the dog
  21. yes coal was imported because it was cheaper but the open cast sites were the way forward, they left a scar but they produced much more coal quicker and safer so it was just a matter of time till mining was not cost effective and good riddence to it as the conditions that men had to endure while risking their health and their lifes is best consigned to the past or maybe you think a bunch of old lads sitting in the club coughing their guts up while they talk about the good old days is worth it.
  22. coal mines were shut because there were better safer and more profitable ways to extract coal, you that moan about them closing then you moan how unsafe they were, even in this time there are men losing their lives and the amount of men that have health problems because they worked down them so although men lost jobs a lot retrained or got work elsewhere where at least they were safe and healthy, i'm not patting thatcher on the back for doing it as i believe it would have been done eventually by whoever was in power.
  23. sorry it was the late sixties and the dog was called forward king.
