    Nice dogs folks. Do any of you older gents remember the Andy Baron of Gisburn Deerhound crosses and the line of deerhound crosses of Tom Rileys ? Has any one ran any of these and is there any blood still knocking about ? Atb Freelance

    Had the same problem, ordered recharge myself. When it didn't arrive on time, i kept phoning them and they just kept telling me they were waiting for a shipment. It eventually arrived after about five weeks ! Atb Freelance

    When i worked in the building trade as a plasterer, i plastered the kitchen for Bernard out of simple minds pop group. Got plenty of brews but no tip, but had a good price in anyway so happy days. Atb Freelance

    My first lamp was one of them square ones with a handle on the back, i sent off for it out of shooting news ( when it was a proper read ) from i think it was called Kings field sports maybe twenty years ago. Then i had a blue eye and later on bought a lazor light when they first came on the scene. Then changed my style of lamping and type of dog i was running and got a coleman 800,000 for roadsiding off back of van with, cracking lamp and i still have it today. Now i have a tracer 170 variable, seems ok up to yet apart from feeling a little flimsy compared to the old coleman and lazor lights.

    I started off with airguns and ferrets as a teenager, my granddad was a taxidermist so always from being a young kid was hearing tales of shooting and field sports. Then got into falconry in my last few years at school, then when left school got a job with a bird control company so at 17 i moved down south and took a job there with my hawks. Got in with the local click, one of the lads i flew with used to go for a dig and lamp the runners. So that was it when i left the job i gave the birds up and got myself a lurcher pup, got me interested and been hooked ever since. ATB Freelance

    With all the recent popularity of the deerhound hybrids, do any of the older hands remember this line of dogs and is there any of this blood still about. A local lad to me had one in the mid 90,s and i think it was a good honest grafter . I also enjoyed Toms articles in the early EDRD . Again in the 90,s i used to arrange a weeks hunting holiday up in Scotland every season for me and a few friends and the runners, one of the lads who used to come with us had a trip out with him, i think it was a little madcap from what i recall. I never met him but he came over as a bit of a character in his a
