  1. I disagree, I think there is many good dogs out there, people are to laz too look and go to next big thing, not knocking the dog, just knocking the short sighted folk who will use the popular in demand stud
  2. think you will have to go to tony emery for that, thornycourt gundogs, but i personally dont think there is a line that immediate with badgercourt in the pedigree, let us know how you do bud
  3. never, judge or own dog and if its active let it go beating
  4. i have two very old moxon books, the one mentioned and field trials,
  5. same principle bud, how they bred, do you know the lines inside out, dont think the kc will reg litters which are that close bred now though, if non kc and its a good mating i'd give it a go
  6. give me a pm, got dvds which will help, cheap rates too
  7. i would be bringing the tennis ball in as a treat,, at the minute no steadiness lots of fun, for a fast recall, would reward with a retrieve of the ball, gradually build up to the dog hunting for nthe ball.
  8. hows the bitch bred, what work is she doing?? is there a gel in pedigrees, whats the bitches downfalls,
  9. nice well bred pup, be ideal for someone, proving a popular sire Boris, hopefully not every tom dick and harry use him because he's the popular stud about at the min, Good Luck on the sale Hez... dont think the pup will be around long
  10. i am not one for pictures, my hunting pal has 3, an old bitch who was a grafter and holded on like a crocodile, then brother and sister out of her, the bitch is outstanding when she wants to be, blows hot and cold and imo that is not good enough, the dog is more of a mooching dog, definite pot licker who should be in a pet home, my brother has two, dynamite on the rabbits and rat, hasn't been tested on harder stuff nice to see some doing the business, but for me what i have seen i would go for a terrier with a bit more go... they are a bit to sensible for my liking in all aspects, I k

  13. ignore comments we all know our dogs, i got a spaniel here who looks part whippet, gets my back up when people knock the dogs for looking skinny, sometimes it cant be helped.
  14. i would have one of openshaws as mentioned but out of the dardnell dealer dog, i like the maesydderwen cockers, i like the really small un's, all depends what your after bud
  15. edgegrove have good solid lines, its all diluted now in a sense, but quality dogs with badgercourt in the breeding has to be edgegrove, thornycourt were doing it but weren't triallers, all depends what you are after mate, all badgercourt gear now is diluted mate, you will find the odd shooting dog, or very old studs
  16. good luck with it mate, give me a pm when your ready for the other things and if you have any Q's I will help where i can, looks a smart lil' thing
  17. I believe the habit is there now mate, and you will really struggle to stop it, if you want to work to "Charlie" only - I would consider parting company with her to someone who will make great use of her, and buy in a tried and tested fox dog... Its horses for courses isn't it, and I also find it odd how she has only just started giving solid marks on rabbit, like skycat i run a pack which hunt rabbit above, thats our main sport but not one will stop and mark when a rabbit has sank, they will only mark or drop for something which has teeth... hope the issue is sorted and skycats advis
