    every pup is different buddy..... even if they are bred off hard worker to worker than you have just as much chance of getting a bayer from that litter as you are just as likely to get a hard dog from 2 bayers ..... every pup is wired different ... even when you breed of 2 well established terriers... shit some times they dont even work at all never mind even just bay lol atb

    having the same problem here with a russell pup i have kid.... he 15 months old entering and hunting and stuff no problems just cant seem to find in ground.... i have only showed him 1 stopend which was last week ..... so he will get tried tomorrow again..... he been brought up and socialised right just like his brother who ive had 5 digs with.... either he just a slow starter or a dud but ill find out 1 way or another the dog is actually starting to annoy me now tbh ... atb with him and hope you get a result out of him.... but theres 1 sure thing ill not be holding on this boy much longer...

    I know mate i have got rid of terriers that were like crocodiles because they were only good for a handful of digs a season but they are nice to watch working ,that's is main reason he has had so many digs my glen x bitch was constantly lying up recovering and me mates are into hard dogs but we dug over him while the rest of our dogs where lying up out maybe 3 or 4 times a week he defo doing alrite for you atb with the pup

    Why would you do that though mate ??? Honestly, I'm just wondering, no malice intended. Would checking the earth with your terrier not be easier, Or am I missing something ? if u come back in a week and the sticks are down its a sign that something has passed trough aye but if your at it long enough.. and trust your dog youll know if there is something about even before you get to the hole.... the way he comes acoss the field and sure on the way to your holes you keep an eye open for paths... shite... hair on wire .... all different things plus you should know the way your dog is go
